We took most of our dinners at O'Dowds. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. My favorite spot was next to the fireplace in the dining room to take off the chill. Irish stew, lamb shank, fish and chips were all amazing.

Stopped at the pub because of the reviews. We had a great seafood lunch, super fresh. Staff was most helpful. Definitely recommend the Roundstone location.

After walking from Clifden to Roundstone along the old bog road, 18km myself and friends were tired and foot sore so we went into O'Dowds Bar in Roundstone and were warmly welcomed by the staff and served lovely creamy pints of Guinness and Smithwicks. This is a great bar to visit.

Been going back to O'Dowds every time I am in Roudstone since I was a child. It is just an ordinary Galway pub in a lot of way but the atmosphere's good, if you're lucky you can nab the best table by the window overlooking the harbour and the the menu is local and consistent. It's a small place so... More

We had a really great seafood lunch here recently & as it was locally sourced, therefore it was supremely fresh! Everything we had was spot on, & to follow of course we just had to have some delicious dessert, which was freshly made on the premises. Definitely worth returning to every time we're in the area!

Our visit to this well known local pub-restaurant took place mid week and off season. However there were quite a few diners present when we arrived and the numbers remained fairly constant during our two and a half hour stay with people coming and going at regular intervals. We were greeted by two friendly girls who made us feel at... More

Really lovely small old style bar with a few tables,I think a bigger eating area next door. It is intimate and cosy. Our first visit was for lunch-a delicious chowder. On the surrounding tables, very close by, were a beautiful plate oysters, a sea food platter, a bowl of muscles. They were all being enthusiastically consumed ! We returned the following evening... Old traditional pub with good beer and wine, atmosphere. Worth the trip from the B&B. Ask for the local Roundstone beer.

Located on the main street, overlooking the harbour, this is a good place to stop for lunch. Decent food, homemade. Small room with good views.
