Reviewed yesterday NEW

Arriving in Spiddal for our half term stay we walked to the village searching for good food and music. We found it in Tigh Giblin. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and helpful. As a bonus there was music from resident and guest musicians. We had a great evening and will be back again this week.

We both tried the nachos here in a beer cheesy sauce with scallions, red onion and other bits mixed in it and it was very tasty. Something very different but tasty. The people at the table beside me had all salads and fish and chips etc and it all looked unreal and ears dropping, they were all raving about the... More

I was surprised by the inventiveness of the menu. I asked the waitress about the chef and she said she had worked in several large cities around the world. It really shows in the selections offered. Everything was fresh and tasty. The menu apparently changes often.

Nice atmosphere, good food and no tourists. An authentic contempory Irish restaurant will local patrons. Loved just listening to the Irish accents all around.

Once again a fantastic evening was spent in Tigh Giblin's. We enjoyed succulent chicken wings, fish tacos and more. Ned and Brenda are such warm and welcoming hosts. Live trad session with and friends playing great music as always, the craic was mighty. Don't pass this place by. It's a must visit spot.

We just arrived in Spiddal and decided to dine here as some locals were going in. We made a great choice, the service was good but the good was great. Some had the mussels, some had the cod and one had the chicken all of which were fantastic. My cod was cooked to perfection and the portion size was very... More

Farmers lunch for me, fish & chips for him and 2 Guinness = total perfection. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Huge recommend for a stop on the way to Galway.

Are here during the week so fairly quiet. Still cosy though, nice cod and chips, and pleasant attentive staff. Would return!
