Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed in this Airbnb with my choristers group last Month - May (2-3 nights). Very clean, airy and spacious. We were shocked to see the Fridge packed to the brim with Juice drinks, Yogurts, variety of fruits etc. Additionally the kitchen top on a...corner was full of various/multiple breakfast choices. Wash gel and shampoo in the shower.... It was indeed a home away from home. We didn't get a chance to see the owner though... Here's me saying THANK YOU to the owner of this Airbnb, you gave us an experience we will never forget 🥰🥰🥰🥰 We are definitely coming back next year by God's grace 🙏 I will attach some fun memories herein.More

Spacious and spotless room. TV has terrestrial Irish channels and property WiFi signal is good, plenty of sockets for devices. Heating was unfortunately too hot while we were there but didn't become an issue until the middle of the night and I couldn't figure how...to fix. Continental breakfast hit the spot too, guy on reception is lovelyMore

Stayed here with West of England Lionhearts RL and it was fantastic. Rooms prepared well, the owner had arranged transport for us to and from the ground and everything was spot on. An ideal quiet stay for us all. Thanks for the hospitality and see...you again.More

I stayed here for just one night. I was unable to fly home on schedule because of a severe inner ear infection. The doctors in Ireland would not clear me to fly. I wanted to stay at the B&B I had been at just prior...to this, but the owners of that place were unable to accommodate me the extra few days because they had a vacation planned. I had read favorable reviews of this place and decided it was probably okay. I knew in advance that the room would be small. That's not my issue. Here are my objections and why I've rated this place so low. There was only a mattress sheet on the bed some pillows. No top sheet. No blanket. No comforter or quilt. I found an old musty smelling blanket in a zipper bag in the closet. There were bed bugs on the bed. I took photos. The reading light over the bed was broken. One drawer indicated extra towels. The drawer was empty. The floor was cold tile. No rugs. No carpet. The bathroom wasn't even that. The owner called it a "wet room." It had black mold on it. The water puddled on the floor. The shower was right next to the toilet in this wet room. The key to the room was an old-fashioned key that probably unlocks all the rooms. The only way to lock the door from the inside was to lock it manually with this key. I hate to think what would have happened had there been a fire in the night. I would have possibly been trapped on the room and unable to unlock it in panic mode. The only way I can describe this place is utterly miserable. I tried to gut it out and was on the phone in the middle of the night with my husband and my travel insurance company. I was so distressed that I got up and left at 6:00 am. I didn't even want to stay for breakfast. I have complained to booking.com customer service and asked for a refund. Of course, I have had no response. There is nothing redeeming about this place. It's just bloody dreadful. I took photos of what I've talked about. I would like to think the owner will do the honorable thing and give me a refund. I will continue to pursue this through booking.com.More

I had arranged a room and needed to cancel a night. The individual answered the phone by saying hello yes. I managed to do so after the owner had a big rant about it. I decided that I would just book somewhere else and cancel...here. When I called the second time the owner left down the phone without saying anything and then continued dealing with another customer. I was waiting, listening to the other conversation for about 5 minutes. So when I eventually got to speak to him, all he said was no problem, goodbye. Bye far the worst service I have ever received over the phone. I booked with a much more pleasant lady in the area.More

The Aisling Guesthouse is a very large guest house which is more like a hotel or even a motel as the rooms and public areas are very quiet and the rooms have adequate facilities to be 'self contained' so no need to be sharing living...areas. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children and were given an inside twin bedroom and an outside (annex at the back) triple room. Both rooms were very clean (especially the all-white bed linen) and smelled fresh. The outside 'family' room benefited from a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster and ironing board, while the inside room had a fridge and kettle. Coffee and tea was provided in the room as were shampoo and soap in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to choice and included bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato, sausage and pudding. You have access to make your own toast and to refill your tea or coffee pot as many times as you like. There is also a range of cereals and milk, fruit, yogurts and grapefruit is available should you want it. Breakfast was VERY tasty and we looked forward to it every day. Ashbourne itself is a pretty town and a good center from which to visit Dublin, North Dublin, South Dublin (via the Tool Road M50) and also Swords and Malahide and the coast. Aisling Guest House offers Fly and Park facilities and it has a large safe car park. I would highly recommend the Aisling Guest house for ANY combination of travelers as there is an extensive range of rooms, it is well located and the facilities and breakfast are excellent.More

We stayed here just one night and it was very ordinary, 70's or 80's furniture, broken drawer fronts, the taps would turn round before you could get them to supply water. The cold tap you could not turn off, isce Ireland ? The sink was...badly cracked from something being dropped in it. The TV remote did not work the TV in our room, There were cigarette burn holes in the bed quilts. This is a big B&B but it lacks a whole lot of the things that should be normal in a B&B.More

This B&B is a real gem! Rod made us feel welcome from the second we arrived! There was 5 of us staying the night and we were on a Hen party! Rod offered us a fantastic rate two rooms next to each other which made...it easy for us to all be together! The rooms were great, spotless and same goes for the bathroom! The grounds were really nice and maintained well! we sat out on the grass in the front in the sun and it was lovely and peaceful! Rod even helped us change the wheel after we had got a Puncture! Location is great only 5 mins from Ashbourne town! The breakfast unfortunatly I didn't make it! (due to a hangover!) but the other girls said it was lovely and plenty to choose from! All in all.. lovely place and we will most definatly be back! :) Thank you to Rod and all the staff! :)More

The room was excellent - clean, modern, warm and spacious with good tea/coffee making facilities and the shower was spotless. The breakfast was delicious too. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend a stay there again.
