We enjoyed a tapas supper here as a family for four. Great choice of food, service very quick and delicious dishes. Love that it is on the cycle path too so very accessible. Staff were friendly and chatty. My only recommendation if you book a table is that you check if you are being seated indoors or out as it was a little chilly until there was space for us to move inside - but my fault I didn't stipulate and it was sunny and warm when I booked! I didn't think it was overly expensive for the quality of food but being tapas it's easy to get carried away and order a lot of dishes so do bear that in mind if budget is an issue for you as it can mount up quite easily.

This quirky pizza and tapas restaurant is unique to Jersey and well worth a visit. We had a friendly and efficient welcome and they rapidly changed our outside booked table to the interior as it was a little chilly. The menu is uncomplicated but comprehensive and we found it difficult to choose from the the tapas and pizzas but eventually settled on the sourdough pizzas which were delicious. The ambiance is excellent with great decor, background music that doesn’t drown out the conversation and an eclectic mix of furnishings which all add up to a bustling delight. The owner obviously knows his wines and personally recommended a couple of choices for my wife whilst I enjoyed a cold beer. Overall we had an extremely pleasant meal and would not hesitate to return for more.

We got a very warm welcome when we called in on the off-chance on a very busy night for all the eateries on the island. We were advised that there would be a fifty minute wait but the time flew as they made sure that we had drinks and our starters to keep us going. The service was excellent and the pizzas were quite possibly the best that we have ever had. This place is away from the usual honey pot locations but it's a great spot for a summer evening. We will definitely return.

We’ve been here a few times now but must admit the prices have gone up. £65 for two people. I had a pizza. I asked if instead of having pine nuts as a topping, if I could exchange it for anchovies (of which there were 3). I considered this an “exchange” rather than an addition but I was charged extra which I thought a little unfair. £2.50 for a squeeze of lime juice with water. So my meal totalled approx £15. My husband had three tapas dishes, the steak strips, prawns and potatoes in tomato sauce, two small bottle beers and a glass of wine. His meal was just shy of £50. No starters and no dessert. While I appreciate businesses are struggling during these difficult times, £65 is a lot of money for what we had particularly when your sitting in a freezing cold wooden chalet in comparison to a restaurant whose overheads are much higher. I think if we come again, we’ll stick to pizza! On a positive note however, the staff are lovely and very helpful.

Kids meals were great and good sized pizzas. Tapas was a mixed bag. Gambas and patatas Bravas very good, pane con tomate very expensive at £7.75 for two small pieces of bread, two slices of cheese and two pieces of ham. We also asked for a small amount of bread to go with the prawns which had lots of delicious garlic butter to mop up and were charged an additional £3. Nearly £90 for a family of four with two alcoholic drinks.

We've tried Off the Rails 2 times. We always thought it was a bit pricey for what it was but this is the last time ever. The Pizza was terrible and they barely have any coverings. Extra mushrooms is a single mushroom thinly sliced across the whole thing. Laughable really. Unless you are desperate we would recommend you try many other better places in Jersey for a meal. Off the Rails justifies it's name.

We are a small family run business and so it's very extremely upsetting when we and our womnderful team all work as hard as we do to get trolled by someone who has set up an account and deleted it immediately afterwards jus to leave a cruel and potentially damaging review like this. As you can see from the rest of the reviews and the photos this is not the kind of food we serve and if any customer would tell us they were dissatisfied in anyway myself and the team would do everything we could to put it right. I doubt this person has even dined with us, Tripadvisor is a community and this review was at the least not in the spirit of the community. Please see our other reviews from real customers for a more balanced view of our offering. x

I decided to have some food delivered, which is not something I would normally do. However, I am so pleased that I did. The pizza is the best I have had on the island: a thin, crispy sourdough crust with quality toppings. I had the Salami and Pickles side, which was really nice, lots of flavour and very fresh. The service was excellent; timely and friendly, not always easy on a hot and busy Saturday. I will be back, and suggest you go as well.

Overall I’d rate this place as acceptable to good. Service was prompt and polite, although wrong dish delivered to one diner on our table. But I didn’t really care about that. Very busy kitchen, assumed because of take out service provided, though no long waits for food. Great atmosphere as venue and local is nice, good selection of food and reasonable selection of drinks. Establish was clean and felt spacious for its size. The pizzas are good, although kind of small compared to other establishments. I’m not a pizza connoisseur, but definitely had better value for money. That said, the pizza I had was very tasty. Cannot help but notice, that almost everything comes with the maximum charge possible to levy, although wait staff didn’t push hard sell for add-ons such as dips or oil, so that’s good. We had a service charge added for a group of four, I found this odd as it is now subject to GST and was the less than the 10% I would ordinarily tipped. Overall, an okay place for food. Probably would make a better lunch venue, although doesn’t open during the day.

Quite difficult to find! Faces out onto the cycle path and can be accessed via back of the lovely Elephant Park (by the kiosk). You can’t see the park from the restaurant so you need to go back in to watch kids whilst the food cooks. Nice menu, food came quickly and was tasty. The kids menu is incredible value, the pizza is huge, but I do think that the adults pizzas are expensive for what they are, so this isn’t a cheap night out if eating and drinking (but very nice range of drinks). We sat outside on picnic tables which was really nice but some tables had to share which may not be for everyone. Glad we visited.

Authentic, and genuinely excellent in every way. The staff are super friendly, and the food is just superb. The dough they use for the pizza base is fantastic, nice and light but has substance. The marinara sauce is beautiful, perfect amounts of seasoning and so tasty, the topping choices are extensive too. Thoroughly impressed, it isn’t a large establishment so make sure you book, but make sure you visit especially if you’re partial to an excellent pizza!

Located on the old railway walk at Elephant Park, this is a great rustic restaurant built in a log cabin type structure. Fantastic tapas menu. Definitely go for the chicken and chorizo skewers. All the food was great, service needs to tighten up a little but a great restaurant in a great setting. Solid 4 stars and I’d certainly return.

We went here for brunch and it was wonderful. We sat outside in the sun, with the trees. The staff were very helpful. My wife and I had the 'Av One' - avocado, toast and egg with extra crispy bacon, my son had a big plate of sweet pancakes. A fantastic start to the day and worth every penny!

We went to Off the Rails on our last night of a late Summer holiday to Jersey. What a lovely place to sit - we sat outside under the trees and feasted on patatas bravas, Spanish black pudding sausage, garlic bread, olives, charcuterie and bread. The food was excellent, and the South African white wine we had was delicious. Full marks.

The absolute best parkrun breakfast we've ever had. Superb American Waffle breakfast at "Off The Rails", 100m beyond the end of the old railway track section of Jersey parkrun . Perfect poached eggs, nicely cooked bacon, soft deep fluffy waffles , roast tomatoes and fig with maple syrup. Great quality, fresh ingredients and a 10% parkrun discount, very popular and we were lucky as we hadn't made a reservation. Lots of waffles, and other breakfast dishes including bacon sandwiches etc Highly recommended 👍
