Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited 'Gradees' last night and it was excellent from start to finish. The restaurant was buzzing on a Friday night and the atmosphere created set the scene. We were given a very nice window table and greeted enthusiastically. Service is warm, friendly and offered...with humour which made us feel very relaxed. A nice bottle of 'Muscadet' and Pinot Grigio rose by the glass for my wife were delivered promptly whilst we perused the menu. The set 'fixed price menu' looks to be great value but we ordered from the A La Carte. The special starter to share combining three of their popular dishes was excellent and consisted of juicy breaded prawns, fabulous scallops and their signature dish of prawns in black bean sauce. It was served with a basket of bread that was very useful for mopping up the juices! My wife wanted another starter as a main so went for the 'Parmigiana' that they cooked with zucchini. It was delicious and extremely generous. I opted for the calves liver that came with delicious, piping hot fries and a side salad. Excellent! We left saying that we mustn't leave it too long before we revisit. The restaurant clearly has a loyal following and it is easy to understand why. A first class experience!More

Good restaurant, not easy to find, but worth the effort. Best to book. Staff, food, wine, all very good, especially the Chablis. We went twice in 10 days.

Slightly difficult to find but when we did it was well worth it the food was delicious. Highly recommend the prawns in black bean sauce and the fish trio with jersey potatoes. Portions are generous and lovely friendly staff.

This 'out of the way' restaurant is superb. Over the years we have never been disappointed. You must try the Prawns in Black Bean Sauce. Not the cheapest in town but certainly one of the best.

Visited Gradee while on holiday in Jersey and enjoyed a lovely meal, served by a most friendly and efficient staff at a very reasonable price given the quality of food on offer. A 5* experience.

Met friends for lunch yesterday and had another great lunch. Gradees has survived the pandemic, and the changes in current times' and continues to provide good quality food and service. Great choice on the menu, and the wine list. Highly recommended.

We first visited Gradee’s 5 years ago, we retuned in July. We were greeted like long lost kin! A very good meal, with an excellent bottle of Rioja, with a very reasonable bill, what more do you need? My calamari started, fried to perfection, followed...by a very good sirloin steak with pepper sauce and chips (an indulgence) followed by profiteroles with avery good chocolate caramel sauce, My wife went for the pate with loads of toast, chicken stuffed with chorizo, served with rice and salad, and followed with the profiteroles! Excellent food, first class service and wine, and best of all a reasonable bill. It helps to book in advance!More

Very busy restaurant, vibrant atmosphere, suitable for families and couples. I had the most amazing French Onion soup, the best I have tasted. Had we been on the Island longer we would have eaten here again.

We searched for this restaurant on our first night in Jersey, having read some good reviews….it wasn’t easy to find, but it was definitely worth it. The owner/manager (?) and the restaurant team are so welcoming, and funny! It was a great experience even before...we got our food, which was simply cooked, and divine! Most of the fish dishes come with jersey royal potatoes and a salad with a house dressing. We enjoyed it so much, we returned for dinner on our last night too, and we were only on Jersey for 4 nights! I chose the specials on both visits, and the “famous” prawns in black bean sauce; it sounds an odd combination, but was delicious. My Mum didn’t fancy a dessert from the menu so was offered a sorbet. Nothing was too much trouble. 10/10 and thank you for the friendly welcome!More

I had spotted this restaurant on TripAdvisor and had earmarked it for a visit. WE were thrilled to find out that it was on the same street as our hotel! Gradee's is closed on Mondays and booking is essential- we popped in just before 6pm...one night to book a table for 4 later in the week. This restaurant is popular with locals and tourists alike and we can see why. There are around 15 tables and the restaurant is intimate, clean and welcoming. The set menu is incredibly well priced and the wine selection is great. The four of us had 3 courses, 3 bottles of wine and coffee and the meal came to £200! The owner and his team and very welcoming, accommodating and excellent at what they do.More
