Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a lucky find. We stumbled on this restaurant whilst having a wonder through St Helier’s fish market and we were so pleased with the food and service, we had scallops and the lobster special with muscles and it was all delicious, we frequently visit...Jersey and frequent at our usual favourite restaurants which this place has just topped the list of! We will definitely be coming back.More

This chef really knows how to cook fish, some of the best I've ever had in the world. Bravo! We ordered plaice in advance and had it cooked on the bone, my Dad had scallops and King pawns, all so succulent and cooked to perfection.

A vastly disappointing and over-rated venue. If you want to kill a lobster twice, apply within.Coffee was also dreadful.

What a great seafood restaurant. Warm welcome and the best seafood I've tasted in any restaurant. Scallops to start, Turbot served with potatoes and steamed vegetables. With pear tart to finish. Couldn't find fault with any course.

Found this place by chance and so glad we did. It’s a hidden gem; food excellent, surroundings are the fish market (closed obvs … ) which gives it a great rustic feel and really pleasant staff.

Love discovering a hidden gem. Lovely clean little restaurant run by a cute couple & great to see the open kitchen. Starters, mains & dessert all fresh & really tasty. Sea bass was especially delicious. I don’t get a service charge though - do I...not pay for service when I enter a restaurant? A tip is a reward for excellent service & you would have got one. Drop the 10% it’s unnecessary.More

Bistro Rosa is located in the Fish Market, just behind the main Central Market. Not surprisingly it specializes seafood which is straight from the sea. On arrival we were amazed at the huge portions of lobster and crab being eaten at adjacent tables. There are...tables in the passage which, during Fish Market opening times, leads from the street to the fish stalls, and there is the restaurant proper. We preferred the airier passageway. The service was excellent. The waiters were very smartly dressed. My wife went for Loup de Mer at £23.95 and I chose Monkfish at £28.50. Together with a shared dessert and a bottle of wine the bill came to £85.90.More

Lovely little rustic restaurant but the overall standard of the food defies its location on the edge of a wet fish market. Sort of get the same prickly sense of anticipation you might get from visiting The Magpie in Whitby - Oh well dreams can...be shattered- You might forgive sloppy presentation as being rustic, but boy, I have not eaten monk fish and scallops that badly cooked since the 1980's when they used to use monkfish / rubber as a scampi substitute! Lobster is never worth the money, ever, and the lobster thermidor here certainly was not going to change my opinion on that fact. They either cannot cook fish ( other than the grilled) and / or they have such utter contempt of fish they just dont care. Either way I find it pretty objectionable buying ruined fish that I could have cooked better myself. I just do not understand the reviews. The Magpie this is not!!More
