We felt so lucky to have any kind of break at all, that even St Helier in the rain seemed fun! The server was very friendly and attentive, welcoming us enthusiastically. There was an unexpected amuse-bouche of a fresh and delicious tomato soup. I had a chowder or bisque, which was lovely, and DH had the duck rolls, which he polished off quickly. Then he had the chicken, which he pronounced excellent, and I had bream, or bass - a slab of tasty fish with tasty vegetables. We had a well-priced bottle of Muscadet sur lie which paired very well with the fish. The place was of course not crowded, but it's nicely appointed, with a fishy/sea faring theme, as you might expect . I would very happily go again when the situation permits.

We hadn't been to thr Roseville for years (we have been trying other restaurants on the island) so it was nice to return and find that the nothing much had changed. We were shown to our table by a gentleman whom I assumed to be the owner After choosing some wine (paper road) we went through the extensive and inviting menu before settling on squid and hummus for starters and sea bass and crab taglitelle for main courses. We didn't have puddings but coffees instead. The food was excellent & our only complaint was the large amount of taglitelle in my dish. I often had to dig for the crab meat - both the meat and pasta were very tasty however. We would certainly go back to the Roseville and would recommend it highly.

Booked an early sitting, to be seated between 5.00 and 6.00pm to get the free glass of wine offer. Had a fantastic meal, great flavors, well cooked and great atmosphere. The only disappointing down side was that we were not offered the advertised free glass of wine for early diners. The restaurant soon filled up after 6 pm with both locals and tourists. Definitely worth a visit and worth the extra money you might have to pay to get this level of quality. My review would have been 5 star if I had been offered the free glass of wine for early diners. ....and the wine isnt cheap.

Writing this as we wait an eternity for our mains.. won’t be coming back.. after waiting 45 mins for the starter while listening to an eclectic mix of Phil Collins, The Bangles and other 80’s hits my drink was knocked all over my trousers.. only after dropping a massive hint did a couple of glasses of wine turn up. Not sure if I’m paying for them yet.. anyway, the kids are about to start running laps out of boredom and the music just gets better. Shame as the food isn’t bad but omg sort the kitchen service out.. Anyone know of any other games to play with two extremely bored kids much appreciated as I’m about to hand my 9 year old a box of matches and the remnants of my wine…

We had fond memories of a cosy 'Roseville Bistro' from our previous visits six years' ago so I booked a table on a Thursday evening. The restaurant has changed and not, in our opinion, for the better. What I remember as cosy is now semi modern and we were seated in the Conservatory area which is clearly where families are seated with noisy children. The atmosphere was lacking and it was clear to us that memories dim. Service was friendly enough but very slow, such that we sat for ages 'gagging' for a glass of wine. When it came (Pinot Grigio by the glass) it was fine. The food order was eventually taken after we had studied the menu which seems to be tagliatelle overload, even one of the three chef's specials was tagliatelle based. To be honest, there was little on the main menu or specials that appealed to us for a main course. We therefore ordered two starters each. I also ordered a basket of bread which, at over £4 for six small slices of nondescript bread is pushing it. We both started with the Prawns in a garlic sauce that was served with some rocket. This was very tasty and the bread came in useful for the sauce. As a main course, we both ordered another starter with a portion of chips and this was the highlight of the evening. We ate mushrooms with a garlic cream sauce on toasted brioche. This was topped with a perfectly cooked egg and the brioche had soaked up the sauce so was 'scrummy'! We both agreed that we made the right decision ordering this and it is well recommended if you like mushrooms. Overall, the evening wasn't expensive but we both decided we have other preferred restaurants so wouldn't return.

Really disappointed. Garlic prawns and oysters as appetizers were good. Main courses were a disaster especially the seafood linguine which was ridiculously spicy and even the chicken breast flavour was concealed by added spices! You'd have never guessed from the taste that the potatoes were Jersey Royals! Why???

During our visit to Jersey we were celebrating our anniversary and based on local recommendation booked at the Roseville Bistro (note you can book online). The service and food was excellent and certainly a venue we would have no hesitation in recommending. To be fair we did not have a bad meal during our visit as there are some excellent options available but this one stood out. A good variety of food and wines on the menu and reasonably priced.

Found this restaurant through trip advisor and managed to booked a table for valentines evening only a couple of days in advance The restaurant is unassuming from the outside but a warm welcome is experience as soon as we entered. Service we excellent from start to finish making us feel well looked after. We chose our meals - crab arancini and meat balls to start followed by crab linguini and scallop carbonara. Whilst waiting for our food we were offered an amuse bouchée of tomato and basil soup which was delicious and made us look forward to our main meals even more. The starters and mains were fresh and tasty. The crab linguini in particular was full of flavour and had a large amount of crab. Scallop carbonara was delicious as well. We followed our mains with the chocolate brownie which was also good. A great Alborino wine accompanied the evening. All in all, a great restaurant and it is a must to visit.

Arrived in Jersey and called to see if there was a table midweek and luckily there had just been a cancellation so were able to fit in. Lovely atmosphere in a great location next to the beach. Attentive and friendly staff who offered complimentary courses! Excellent wine selection Local food served deliciously at a reasonable price - mostly local seafood in a mediterranean style dish e.g. crab arancini/linguini etc

We booked here on recommendations on Trip advisor. We were not disappointed. The staff, so friendly, lovely atmosphere, and the food was excellent. I am gluten free, so had researched quite alot of restaurants b4 we went, and this one was open on a Monday, which alot are not. We were given a little "amuse du bouche" freshly made tomato soup, I then ordered the garlic king prawns and a special of crab stuffed lobster in a cheesey sauce, which was divine. My friend had the steak and said it was the best one she had had in a long time. Staff were so friendly, all in all a great experience.

Visited this restaurant September during our stay in Jersey. It is very popular and recommend you book in advance. It was very busy but were shown to our table immediately. A very good atmosphere reminded us very much of being abroad in Spain/Malta. Service was excellent and attentive despite how busy it was. We had complimentary Bread and soup to start and for the main course Sea Bass for me and my wife mixed fish soup and we both had afogato to finish. Overall a very nice meal reasonably priced by Jersey standards! Seafood their speciality but other things on Menu also.

This restaurant just ticks all the boxes - extremely accommodating (we took our 3 year old and 5 year old too), perfect service, top food and a great all round atmosphere - not too stuffy and formal and not too casual either... it's a great place for all family occasions (or a meal with friends). Thank you so much, we are lucky to have this restaurant within a 15 mins walk of our house...

Fabulous mainly fish restaurant situated in a side street inthe surburban area of St Helier. The crab bisque was just divine and my husband and I both had the seafood spagetti which was full of fish, a very generous portion. Service was friendly and not too pricey considering the quality of the food served.

Booked the table for 2 for 7:45 arrived slightly early at 7:35 Waited a bit for a drink and our order to be taken, about 15 minutes. We then waited aver an hour for our starter to arrive., The lady manager apologised and said she had forgotten to give our ordered to the kitchen. We had drunk our bottle of wine whilst waiting and ended up buying an additional bottle of wine as a result which we really didn’t want or need at a cost of an extra £25. No further apology when we came to,pay the bill. I was not impressed.

Ist visit here & we had a wonderful meal. Scallops starter for my husband ,which I tried & they were cooked perfectly & really sweet. Sea bass main for him & the panache of fish in crab bisque for me which was divine & packed full of fish & seafood. No room for pudding ! We were recommended a white wine as they didn’t have the one we wanted & it complimented the meal very well. service was friendly & efficient. A fantastic find !
