Disinterested service food which was nothing more than average in terms of quality and was very over-priced. We were really looking forward to this meal but it was a big disappointment.

Excellent food and service! I was almost put off by some of the reviews but glad I went. We were shown to our table then looked after by Eradu. Nothing was a problem and the service was excellent! The food was delicious and the setting...very pretty! I would definitely recommend the quayside!More

Splendid location and excellent food, spoiled by poor service and feeling of being hurried into ordering. Yes it was a busy time, but for this class of restaurant you don’t expect it be at fast food speeds. It also took me four attempts to request...a glass of water and no apology when I explained this. Unacceptable.More

We visited the restaurant on 3 June to celebrate my Wife’s 60th birthday. We were met by the restaurant manager upon arrival who presented my wife with a complimentary glass of champagne, this was a very good start and the levels of service did not...dip at all during the evening. We were very well looked after, had a fantastic table overlooking the harbour and the food was mouth-wateringly delicious. From mussels to calamari to tuna to John Dory and the excellent fish pie, the food was perfectly cooked, well presented and every mouthful was a delightful experience. The desserts were exceptional, my wife had the crepe suzette and she said it was the best she’d ever had (see picture). We had a wonderful evening celebrating, the food and service was first class and we will definitely revisit. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if in the area but suggest you book in advance as it does get busy. Thank you to all the staff at Quayside for making my wife’s birthday dinner experience so special.More

Superb seafood restaurant in St Helier, Jersey. A great extensive menu which isn’t limited to just seafood. My wife and I opted for the Lobster. I had the grilled lobster with crevettes. The staff were happy to swap out rice for new potatoes. Staff were...welcoming, friendly and attentive. I’d definitely come back here if in the area.More

Previous reviews were spot on when reporting first class food. Unlike some reviewers, we were not subjected to poor service. I had the half a lobster with a crab and prawn salad and jersey royal potatoes. My wife had the new dish of steamed turbot...with saffron, courgettes, fennel and jersey potatoes. All first class but the stand out dish was crepe Suzette! This was unbelievably good - the best we have ever had.More

A special shout out to all the staff at Quay side who made our lunch very special. We sat out on the terrace looking out over the boat show, the attention to detail with presentation and flavor was fantastic, the sommelier probably topped me up...more than I was expecting although I thank him for it as visiting friends raved about the lunch and service afterwards. Well done guys. 10/10 👏More

Ate there on our first evening in Jersey. Didn't book, just turned up but not a problem (end April, before May weekend and boat show). Friendly staff. Extensive menu available but we opted for two starters each - tuna tartare (2), crab & scallop pancetta...crumble and tempura prawns. Followed by a dessert each. All very tasty. Fine dining and priced accordingly.More

Reading some of the reviews for this restaurant, I wonder if we were all eating in the same place! True the maitre d’ was not in at his desk to welcome us when we arrived, true he was a bit stuffy, not smiley and a...bit offhand, and true drinks were a tad slow to arrive, but our waitress, a lovely hardworking Portugese young woman (who also works locally as a dental nurse as well) was just lovely and she was very attentive. The ambiance was buzzy, in dact one might say noisy and lively. The tables were packed in but set out well and table well set out, and I am fussy. The food was excellent! Deconstructed coquilles St. Jaques, Lobster thermidor, salmon, all just lovely. The place has a good reputation, it is open on Sunday evening when many restaurants are not, and we would visit again. First port of call.More

Location. Excellent Food/wine. Very Good Owner. Genial Manager. Good Sommelier. OK However......... Waiting staff - one in particular. Absent. Disinterested. Ignorant. Mood Hover. Need I go on? Possibly the WORST example of waitressing we have EVER experienced. P45 required!

Honestly this is a review of two halves. Let’s start with the positives - the food was incredible, some of the tastiest food and wine we have had anywhere in the world. The seafood was exquisite and the wine wonderful. Sadly that’s where our praises...must stop. The feeling of resentment from the serving team began from the minute we arrived and lasted til the minute we left. On arrival we were (not) greeted by the manager who could not have been less pleased to see us arrive for our booking. We were then seated directly behind a large dinner party and clearly in the way of a walkway. We asked if we could move but this was refused (irony being that then a pushchair tried to get past and was bashed into our chairs). It took an age to order and no drinks order was taken until we added it to the food order. We did not have a consistent server whereas other tables clearly had a consistent staff member plus a sommelier. In a restaurant that places its self at the high end and a high price point you’d typically have your wine poured, but this didn’t happen for us (unlike other tables). After we finished our mains and the plates were begrudgingly cleared we waited 30 mins to be offered a desert menu, we declined and requested the bill. We asked for the service charge to be removed, this in most establishments would cause a query of ‘was everything ok’ not here, they clearly do not care. From our experience if you are a local or regular it’s likely you’ll receive preferential service. If you are not then it matters not what you have to spend. As we left the manager who we had watched warmly greet and wave off many other customers barely lifted his head. The food was 10/10, the service barely scraped a 2/10. If you are not a local avoid this place like the plague. Sadly even the top notch food could not redeem the terrible attitude from the staff.More

Lovely place with excellent food and professional service. The deco is quite flamboyant which makes the room looking amazing and different from what you would expect from a bistro
