This pub is just across the road from our hotel. We ventured in for a meal as the weather was horrendous and not conducive to going into St Helier. We were warmly welcomed despite it being busy. Given a table immediately. From start to finish, service was first class. The food was above average. We felt we were treated as... More

Nice bar and outdoor areas, but just be careful not to have too much fun otherwise you will get a yellow card from the land lord.

Went here for evening meal and found that the place has a split personality .... It's not sure if it's a sports bar or a restaurant. It's not a place for a quiet meal with loads of mainly males crowded in the bar shouting to one another right next to the tables used to serve the food. All made for... More

Went for tennerfest meal at this beach bar on recommendation of local inhabitants. Meal was served by pleasant waitress. A gentleman came to our table asking very loudly and intrusively if the meal was satisfactory. He was overbearing and did not like criticism when I told him lasagne was only just warm. Meal was only average nothing to write home... More

Was told to try the White Horse by a local while on holiday on Jersey. Went early but still very busy, perhaps as Jersey Tennerfest was on? Felt crowded, some tables for two were too close together, didn't really want to hear two sets of people's conversations either side of us, couldn't hear our own across the table! The foreign... Although the dining room was full to bursting, a very friendly waitress found a table outside on the sheltered patio. As this overlooked the sea and it was a pleasantly warm evening, this added to the overall ambience. We were quickly served an excellent bottle of Prosecco and a very comprehensive menu. After much debate as there were so many... More

Very busy restaurant that doesn't take bookings - we were very lucky and timed it just right and had a well cooked fish and chip supper.

It's next to my hotel, it's Sunday and I've just arrived in Jersey so I gave them a go. The staff were friendly and suggested the Sunday roast of Lamb or Chicken dinner. I had a decent selection of drinks while I waited, and boy did I wait! 45 minutes for what appeared to be 'Bernard Mathews' lamb roll, Aunt... More
