About
You can pretty much eat where you sit at The Rozel. If it's just a snack or a single course meal you're after then you might prefer to sit in the bar downstairs but we prefer to shout about the Dining Rooms upstairs. The Dining Rooms, as we like to call them, are focused purely on providing dishes prepared from the best quality ingredients, local where possible and fresh every day. Being so close to sea lends itself to being a 'fishy' style menu but we've kept all that for the specials boards. Who knows what's coming in on the boats each day! We buy most of our fish, lobsters, crabs and scallops from the local fishermen, often just one or two of a days catch, that way we ensure its always fresh

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice pub you can be casually dressed and sit in the bar or the restaurant and very nice outside dining area too. New bar manager very friendly and helpful. Food excellent.

Informal, friendly service and very good food in an unspoiled pub which offers a couple of decent real ales and a good wine list.

Lovely meal. Our waiter was super-helpful finding a vegetarian wine. Prawn cocktail delicious as was the goats cheese salad. Comfortable and cosy.

We spent the night here with our friends hoping to have a lovely evening meal. We had to ask several times after ordering drinks as they never arrived. The food was okay however the deep fried ice cream was stunning. We then ordered another round...of drinks and again they didn’t arrive this time we had to go and ask the water could you please find where they are. The food portion size is very small. An expensive place to eat where the food was okay. The service was not very good and they had the audacity to charge 10% service charge. I must add we asked the waiter to please remove the service charge as we didn’t find it acceptable for the service we had received.More

Clean and nice pint with the added bonus of a working Bar Billliards table. Haven’t played bar billiards for years as the tables are quite rare nowadays

Not the most welcoming pub, very bland and unfriendly. We were going to eat here as staying nearby, but the bar area out us off. Nothing good to say really, mysterious not recommend.

Beautiful spot for lunch, close to the harbour with beautiful countryside around. The publican is not only friendly but extremely helpful and the varied menu offers interesting food. We had a set menu with three options and nobody was disappointed with service or quality of...food. Delicious.More

Enjoyed a three course meal as my reward for making it to Rozel bay from St Johns Church via the northern coast walk . The staff were very friendly, quickly accommodated me with a table in the bar. There was a great atmosphere with mix...of customers and friendly vibe. Staff were attentive throughout my non conventionally ordered three course meal, to coincide with the bus back to St Helier. Would definitely recommend this place!More

We have just returned from a stay at Chateau la Chaire, and we decided to eat at their pub which is just a few yards down the hill. Beautiful food - the first night I had sea bream which was gorgeous (though could have done...with a few more veggies), as was my husband's fish and chips. The second night I had the delicious veggie wellington, and my husband had the burger which he said was a perfect size, and not one of those that they pile so high you have to stick a stake through it! preferred the atmosphere in the downstairs pub rather than the upstairs dining area. The conservatory (open in summer) looks lovely though too.More

I booked my wife's 40th birthday for 10 people, women on phone was happy to take booking only to get there and find it was closed, very upsetting. I was told I hadn't booked (why I would arrange 10 people to take time off work...to a closed restaurant is beyond me)! Manager was going to look into it but hasn't had the decency to get back to me. Very dissapointing!More

This place was recommended by friends in Jersey and so I decided to go there for lunch. Very quaint old fashioned pub not very well lit. I ordered squid to start which was very poor, thinly sliced slightly over cooked and it was like chewing...a piece of string. It went downhill from there, my fish and chips arrived and I initially thought I was still wearing sunglasses as it looked so dark. I removed my glasses and saw that the batter was burned and blackened. The waiter offered to exchange it for something “not so dark”. My mistake was to accept that offer as the replacement was also very poor, greasy batter and the fish undercooked. Overall an awful experience. The first main course should never have left the kitchen. My advice would be not to risk this place. In my 40 years of visiting Jersey it is the worst experience ever.More
