Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went for an early supper and couldn’t have been more pleased. The service was excellent, very quick, efficient and friendly. There is a good range of items on the menu to choose from, all very reasonably priced, well cooked and nicely presented. All in...all a most enjoyable evening, will be back, and would definitely recommend.More

The best pub we visited in Jersey all week. Perfect beer, friendly service and wonderful food (highly recommend the scotch egg dish). It felt like somewhere where the locals frequented but, at the same time, we were made to feel really welcome.More

Popped in after a visit to the Zoo. The setting was modern and clean. The waitress was excellent and couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming, she deserved a medal running around serving while her colleague spent much of his time chatting to what looked...like regulars at the bar. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty. Would definitely go back again.More

Really lovely food. I had the camembert sharer, mushroom pappardelle and white chocolate & raspberry parfait. Not a single complaint other than I couldn't finish the main or starter as the portion sizes were large (not a bad thing, especially if you're hungry!) Friendly staff....Really well decorated. Not too badly priced considering I was told Jersey was incredibly expensive. Would definitely come again.More

First impressions of this pub were not good. There was food under the tables that hadn't been cleaned, the table we sat at was sticky. We ordered pasta and the pie( which was supposed to be beef and vegetables) The pie came in a small...tin and the bottom of the pie was stuck to it!! It didn't taste of beef, just gravy, amd the chips were scrappy. The pasta was ok but spaghetti rather than the parpadelle it was described as. We were then given a bill with a service charge added, which we asked to be deducted. If I thought the meal was worth it I would leave a tip!!. Overall, £40 for a pie, pasta, a coke and small glass of wine was not worth the money and I would not go back or recommend.More

Gluten free options extremely limited, especially as a pescatarian! There was absolutely no bread or roll options at all. Ordered lobster but no lobster picker so had to bring most home to eat! Lots of veg it would have been better cold with salad. Really...disappointed. Service change added but we were told optional as they laid the bill on the table with it on. I asked for it to be removed as the length of time we waited was not good and the staff not exactly helpful. My starter was amazing though 😀More

Visited for lunch with my parents whilst visiting the island. Took 40 minutes for our lunch to arrive. Food was presented beautifully but felt it was style over substance. Food very average for the price and didn’t taste as good as it looks.

Firstly I’d like to say that the pub looks very nice after it’s refurbishment. Sadly that does not include the food. Visited for Sunday lunch recently. Staff were very pleasant. The starter of mushrooms on sour dough bread looked very sad! Expected a nice freshly...cut slice of sour dough from a loafbut what came was a slice of square bread. Was told by waitress this is how it comes now! Mushrooms were so drenched in overpowering garlic butter and just soaked into the bread. Very unappetising and unable to eat much. Ordered roast pork and roast beef. Both came with an over cooked yorkie pud with a couple of underdone roast potatoes in it, one carrot, 1 swede sliced thinly and some cauliflower cheese. The pork was well over done and too tough to eat so was sent back explaining why plus food was warm not hot. When it came again still the same. Didn’t bother to eat it. The beef was underdone and chewy not very nice at all although one slice of pork redeemed itself as it was cut thinly. Burger was ok but could have been better and not so dry. All in all a very disappointing meal and definitely won’t be returning. Friends had recommended. We were not charged for one of the meals.More
