As it was a Sunday evening and few restaurants open and also we were staying at the hotel we booked here. Was quiet with just a couple of other tables occupied. I had a Crab dish with a quail egg with salad which was excellent...while the wife had a duck dish but with too much salad for her. For main course I had Cod while wife had Lamb chops on the bone. both came with side dishes which were good. Wife had a desert of coconut ice cream and extras. A nice blush wine went well with the food. Excellent service and quiet enjoyable evening.More
Another excellent meal from their March menu. Rump of lamb cooked pink was superb. Attentive staff always helpful. Partner had the Sea Bream, accompanied veg went well with the fish.
We had breakfast in the conservatory during our 3 night stay . There is a very good selection available, and the service is extremely good . Top marks to all.
Fantastic food choices, great value, good service , good food. Restful meal with lovely views and surroindings. Staff worked together to give the restaurant a wonderful flow and keep everyone happy. Well done.
Tried this for the first time Lovely ambiance with table by the window The service was lovely and friendly The menu was a little old school with the choice of set menu or a la carte Everything was nice but nothing amazing. The figs in...parma ham were the best course. My other half’s filet steak came well done despite being ordered rare and was not of the expected quality. My Lamb was tasty but again nothing to get excited about. The trifle was very 1970s Used to love the old library carvery at Moores ; this wasn’t quite the full ticket but still a lovely eveningMore
8 of us visited on Thursday 19th for a female family evening. We gathered on the terrace for pre dinner drink and to order from 2 very extensive menus. Once seated our dinner commenced with excellent food and service. We left 2.5 hours later having...enjoyed an amazing evening. Thank you to all members of staff for helping to make our evening great. Some of us can only get home on an annual visit so our female nights are special.More
Exceptional service, varied and exciting menu choice. Friendly, comfortable but also we all left feeling spoiled by the attention and special feeling that the staff had all gone the ‘extra mile’. The seafood platter was the freshest, most varied platter we have ever seen. The...price was good value. Definitely returning. Our whole welcome and stay at Moore’s hotel was outstanding! Thank you.More
Everything that a hotel restaurant should be…and more! Crisp, clean linen tablecloths and napkins, iced water, little glass vase of flowers on the table, – everything laid out exactly as it should be. The overall atmosphere and ambience on the busy evening of our visit...was refreshingly pleasing and the food from the set table d’hote menu was cooked and presented to a very high standard and was excellent value. There is also a full a ’la carte menu as well as a dedicated seafood menu. Perhaps we’ll try one of these next time. The service was polite, efficient and attentive and we will certainly come here again. Well done!More
We ate as a family of 5 and what a memorable evening we had. Firstly our waiter Samuel was first class, friendly and attentive with a warm smile and a delightful attitude. The way he treated our 10 year old daughter was excellent. The food...was simply delicious, the steak cooked to perfection and the children’s menu was fantastic. We can highly recommend The Conservatory, we will definitely be back.More
Eating on the terrace you could be anywhere in the world. The atmosphere is great and the staff attentive. The food, as always, was hot and tasty.
the drinks service a little slow but was a very warm day so was really busy, didn't order food but what was delivered to others looked really nice.
Beautifully presented and tasty food. The pork Wellington was amazing. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff.
We have just arrived in Guernsey and our friends took us to this wonderful restaurant for lunch. It was a busy lunchtime, but from the moment we walked in until we left we were amazed at the excellent service, friendly staff, varied menu, wonderful, beautifully...presented food and attention to detail shown at the Moors Conservatory. We really could not fault it and would most definitely recommend it.More
My wife and I went on a Monday evening for the February warmer menu. It was superb and what amazing value. £24.95 for 5 courses. For starters we had tempura battered squid and wild mushroom with parmesan shavings. My wife then had an orange sorbet...and I had a lovely broccoli and Stilton soup. The mains were both exceptional, my wife had monkfish and King prawns thermidor and I had a very large tasty lamb shank. Both came with a bundle of veg including green beans, carrot and leak with fondant potatoes. For dessert we opted for a Limonchello mousse, again very good. We finished with coffee and homemade cookies. The quality is superb and you have 5 or 6 choices on courses 1,3 & 4. Would certainly return as we loved the food. Service was fine and the conservatory is very pleasant. We had a drink first in a very refined sitting room prior to eating.More
