Excellent afternoon tea in a beautiful location. We particularly enjoyed the macaroons. A special thank you to Siya for being a great host.

Called in for tea . very well presented . Scones delicious. Have to say the price was cheaper than the British motorways and great surroundings. Decor sadly is beginning to need a bit of upgrading in parts. Good service.
The afternoon tea was ok. I’ve had much better elsewhere. We went to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary and I wish we had booked something else. Sandwiches ok. Scones overcooked and ok petite cakes. We were put in lounge out of way. So felt forgotten....Wouldn’t recommend very disappointed.More
We visited for afternoon tea as a family, 4 adults and a child. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the outdoor seating area was a lovely setting on a sunny day. The selection of teas was excellent, and the caramel flavoured tea was particularly unusual...and tasty. The selection of sandwiches, cakes and desert items were well balanced and of very high quality. The scones were beautiful, with plenty of jam and clotted cream to compliment them. My son had the children's afternoon tea and it was just the right size for him, and he especially enjoyed the chocolate milkshake. The staff provided boxes for us to take home the treats we couldn't finish, so that we could enjoy them later and there was no waste. Excellent quality and service, and worth treating yourself.More
with family and friends, excellent food and service as always. Unfortunately we still had to social distance this time but that didn't affect our enjoyment of the afternoon
My friend took me here for afternoon tea for the first time. We had an amazing and exceptional time. The lady that served us, Ana Maria was very attentive, polite and very knowledgeable with the menu and drinks, she kept us company with good laughs,...definitely made the experience much better for us. The food was amazing, best scones! Highly recommended, definitely not the last for me.More
The lounge has a great Victorian atmosphere, peaceful and quiet. Service is pleasant and attentionate. Great classic afternoon tea food, with some of the best scones I've ever eaten! (I think it's possible to order scones only instead of the full AT)
We took Our Mother to celebrate her diamond wedding anniversary as we had lost our father two years ago. We wanted a treat and were very happy with the tea. Staff were attentive and the view from the brasserie delightful. The only thing to niggle...about was the inappropriate music but the staff were happy to turn it off. Would definitely go again. And very good value.More
Excellent hotel for afternoon tea with friends. Superb service with friendly staff. Lovely oldie worldy atmosphere. Superb choice of teas offered from a wooden box. Definitely worth a visit.
Had a nice afternoon tea, gifted by one of our children. It was nice enough, but once we had presented the voucher we had been gifted, it felt like the service was no longer at the top level. We had to ask for our tea...to be brought and twice for the cream and jam for the scones. For a 5 star hotel I would expect the staff to be noticing these things and preempting such requests. I feel their standards have dropped since our last visit and will probably look elsewhere before going here again.More
Visited Guernsey to see my daughter and she treated us both to an afternoon tea at the OGH. The initial service was excellent, but once we’d been served our food and tea the staff disappeared! No one came to check if everything was ok and...when I went to take a scone from the plate a long, black hair came with it. Up until that point the food had been excellent, but by now I wasn’t feeling very hungry, having a hair sitting on my plate. My daughter had to go and search for a member of staff to tell them about the hair and to pay the bill. A verbal apology was offered but we were left deeply disappointed and I felt awful that my daughters treat for me had been ruined by the terrible service of the staff. Definitely won’t be going back there. Such a shame after hearing such good reviews.More
A magnificent cream tea at The OGH, to celebrate my Birthday on Mothers' Day this year! Beautiful surroundings, service as it used to be, a bygone era brought back to life. I quite expected Hercule Poirot to appear! Wonderful experience not to be missed. We...were treated just like royalty! The food was amazing. Huge warm light fluffy scones with jam and clotted cream, a lovely selection of freshly made sandwiches, cakes and little sweet treats including macaroons! There was so much to eat, and we are big eaters! They even brought everyone a specially made box to carry home anything that you couldn't manage to eat, to enjoy later at home! It was fabulous, and value for money. Couldn't praise this any higher. It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful island. Well Done the OGH you have surpassed all expectations, we will be back!! Thank you SO MUCH!More
We had afternoon tea which is always excellent. Saturday and Sunday was full which tells you how popular it is. If you are in St. Peter Port it is well worth a visit.
Staff helpful and attentive. There is a choice of different packages. Chose the normal 3 tier stand plus a bottle of champagne. Lots of different teas to try if you wish. Plenty of food on the plates and you could have a doggie bag if...not able to finish the lot!!More
Just stopped by for tea and coffee and found the staff very helpful and attentive no matter what price you paid.
