Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely atmosphere - very classy but not pretentious. Friendly bartenders. Amazing selection of Gin. We came back a second time during our trip, for the Gin Tasting Experience, which I would highly recommend booking! After 3 tastings, you are served a light meal of samosa,...pakora, and bunny chow.More

Great place for drinks at any time of the day. Cosy snug bar and warming fire. Summer terrace overlooking the pool. Try the gin passport and work your way through a list of gins before claiming your free bottle of gin. Handy location. Great for...couples, friends and there is even space for business meetingsMore

We called in here late afternoon to sample a few cocktails. The bar is extensive but very plush with the waiting staff very elegantly and smartly attired. There are one or two cosy and intimate "snug" type nooks and crannies. There is a lengthy cocktail...menu together with a speciality gin menu including several unusual types. The drinks are not cheap but that is to be expected at The Old Government House Hotel in Guernsey. Drinks are accompanied by cocktail snacks which are regularly replaced and replenished and the waiting service was high quality.More

The Crown Club is my favourite place to spend a lazy Saturday. The staff are always lovely and really go out of their way to make you comfortable. It has such a relaxed atmosphere and you know you're going to be looked after very well....It's suitable to go for a quick lunch, or as I like to do, go for lunch then chill out for the rest of the day/evening with wine and some nibbles. The lobster roll and CLT (crab, lettuce and tomato) are highly recommended. It might seem expensive, however the sandwiches are packed full, you get a really decent side salad and also a large amount of fries - you won't go home hungry! The staff are professional but also really friendly - always happy to have a chat. I'm looking forward to my next lazy Saturday here!More

Often visit the Crown Club for business meetings during the day. Very courteous service and coffee is always top notch. In the evening the Crown Club becomes a cosy cocktail bar with a great selection of aperitif's. Extensive gin menu including local artisan gins and...always a very welcoming feel to the bar, with again great service. Not the cheapest but a great romantic venue for two or with friends to start or end your evening.More

After a busy tour of the shops and a hike up the north face of Smith St a well deserved glass of Sauvignon Blanc is just what the doctor ordered, the best spot for the mentioned sustenance is located just through the blue door to...the right of the War Memorial, a visit to Harrys bar will repair one's fortitude to be able to face the walk up the grange. The Elephant repellant obviously works as I've seen very few in St Peter Port at this time of year.More
