I regularly visit the breakwater café when I visit my family who live in Devon. I visited for breakfast on Sunday 20th November. I was impressed to see this Café were reinvesting in their success by expanding their covered area to increase capacity. Service is very friendly and quick and there is a good selection of breakfasts. I had the... More

I gave the Breakwater Bistro one point for its location, although as we had booked a table with a view and the place was nearly empty, you would have thought they could have allocated us a better table. The waitresses were sloppy and pushy. My soup was spilt when served, but I received no apologies. The only time the waitresses... More

Quaint place - a good menu - good service - would definitely go there again when next in the area. The burgers were huge! I had the mussels, which were delicious.

You cannot beat the location of this restaurant which is always open, perhaps not Xmas Day. After a good walk this is an ideal spot to look out across the bay whilst having a coffee or some food. On this occasion it was just drinks but we still received the same service. A new extension has been added upstairs which... More

I think this is one of the best located restaurants in the South West. After all, how many restaurants are this close to the waters edge and with such amazing views? Convenient public car park outside but parking an be cramped and difficult in the Summer. I had a nice well cooked rump steak and chips and my wife had... More

Don't be put off by the slightly seedy greasy spoon entrance. Go upstairs to find a very comfortable eating area with spectacular views across the harbour. The staff are lovely and the food is excellent. They have some great value for money offers and daily specials that make you question your decision to go for the offer. A sign on... More

My hubby arranged a party for my birthday with twenty friends and relations. We all had a great time, and I would like to say a big thankyou to all the staff for making it such a memorable evening. We were all served at the same time even though no meals were pre ordered and everyone was really pleased with... More
