Well, the food was at least edible on this visit and as we arrived close to opening, appeared to have been freshly cooked unlike on my previous visit. I was greeted by three members if staff on separate occassions with the words 'you alright there !' Which is a meaningless and very rude statement. How about 'good morning, nice to... More

Eaten here several times. Breakfasts are legendary and lunch and evening meals are fantastic value. Varied menu for a full blow out or simply a snack and drinks. Excellent service and always bustling. Don't miss out.

Had lunch here today overlooking Torbay and the gorgeous Brixham Marina. Good food and polite friendly staff and service. Dog friendly which is really appreciated. The bistro is right beside the beach and a short stroll to the original harbour. A walk can be taken along the marina breakwater from just near the pay and display car park outside the... More

Family came down for the weekend, so we booked The Breakwater, you are always guaranteed a good meal. At the time of booking we order 3 whole lobsters for 3 of the party, I have never seen so much food on one plate. All the food was really tasty and the staff were great as usual.

Not for the first time have I been duped by the stunning views from the bistro. The food is tasteless, poor quality for premium prices. I will never eat anything from this place again. If you know anything about dinning and want a stunning view of Torbay. Walk past the breakwater bistro and head to sholes restaurant at Brixham Lido... More

Appearances can be deceptive. This little gold mine of a cafe is superb. Very friendly staff and really good food as well. Nothing too much trouble. Give it a try. From outside doesn't do it justice. 4* food and treatment

Just stopped off after a little walk around the beautiful harbour . The place quirky and well presented. Clean and well looked after. The staff have been very helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding! The prices are a little high but this is reflected in the quality and of course the fact that it's fresh local food and... Now to be fair to the bistro it is clearly stated on the menu that everything comes with chips and salad and we went there so i guess it is our fault for going. But when you pay such high prices for all items on the menu I think you have the right to expect a bit more creativity and... More
