This is probably the best cake shop in this part of Devon. Cakes are homemade. Scones were fresh & hot. Tea is served in delightful old fashioned tea sets. Fabulous Devon cream tea.

Great venue for a quick lunch or tea/coffee with fantastic cakes and service. Had the most delicious soup and the best cheese scone ever. Tea is always leaf tea with a wonderful selection and always an extra pot of hot water. Real tea cups and saucers with tea pots and strainer!!

Stopped with some friends and had a lovely afternoon. A very relaxed setting and had a lovely pot of tea and a cake. We arrived too late to have some famous carrot cake but I can highly recommend the bakewell tart. We will definitely be visiting again.

Having been here now 3 times, we are never disappointed with the food or service. I had the coronation chicken sandwich and it was the best I've ever tasted. Partner had the cheese scone and it was huge, also tasted fantastic. Next time we are having the full works with afternoon tea, cannot wait.

Stopped here for morning coffee, just how I would present my tea room, Tables set with bone china cups, white linen cloths, covered with glass, so sensible, Ordered coffee and slightly toasted teabread. Lovely coffees, teabread was fabulous! We didn't look to see what else they served, but will be back again.

Beautiful tearoom, great cakes, quirky lovely mismatched china. Great pot of tea. Not really many tables and we struggled to get a table for 3 but improvised by adding a chair to one of the small tables. Cakes excellent and a choice of 3 gf. Well worth a visit if in area

We arrived in Ashburton mid morning and decided that refreshment was a priority! .We were passing Taylors when we noticed the fabulous display of cakes in the window. Although they were quite busy we were seated promptly and served without undue delay. The choice of beverages was comprehensive and did not disappoint . The cakes however exceeded our expectations the portions... More

Ashburton has a variety of cafes. Shabby chic, vintage, modern and this - calm classy oasis. Real leaf teas and good coffee. The cakes looked fabulous, but we were being good today. Next time we are in town we will have lunch there. One small point; minor but present. There are several coffee types available at similar prices. My flat... More

Wandering around Ashburton, we chanced upon this delightful Tea Shop. The mouthwatering window display of homemade cakes lead us inside. The tables were laid with bone china and the atmosphere was serene. The menu did not dissapoint, with a good selection of loose leaf teas and coffee and lovely homemade cakes. There were plenty of waitresses to serve and our... More

Description
Located in the ancient stannary town of Ashburton on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Tea at Taylors offers a taste of old England when the formality of tea was all the rage. Set amongst period antiques and soft furnishings, we hope that you might love the decor and ambiance as much as the home baking.
