We enjoyed it very good lunch in this authentic village pub that provided not just well prepared food but plenty of choice. The service was really good and the environment was clean and comfortable. I have no doubt that I will visit again when in the area.

Lovely hidden pub. Very quiet and lovely views. The food was fantastic, good solid pub food. Not over priced. The children’s meals were great too, my son loved his ham, (especially the) egg and chips. Would visit again.

What a lovely find, made to feel very welcome by landlord and staff, The Sunday Roast was excellent, sat in the conservatory with wonderful views, very relaxing . Made our whole day out perfect. Will definitely be going again and next time booking in for a long weekend . Thank you The Tradesman's Arms

Ate dinner during my stay here and had a great meal with generous portion sizes and tasty ingredients. The price represented good value for money and I was provided with both friendly and fast service.
Unfortunately I didn't have room for dessert, but the enticing options on the table next door made me wish I had!

We stayed whilst walking the Two Moors. Arriving early evening after a long days walking we sat in the lovely garden in the sunshine unwinding with a well deserved drink. Nice welcoming chats at the bar, dinner was delicious, our room was spotless and very comfortable, breakfast the next morning great too as were our packed lunches we were sent off with. All in all a perfect nights stay. Thank you!

Great Pub and great Food! We had a Curry with chicken and rice, Indian style and ir was very good! but the absolut must eat: the chocolate brownie, just a dream! the staff is very nice, helpful and friendly.

We booked a last minute break to this area and have had evening meals here Sun - Tues.. all very good value and all delicious . Very pleasant and helpful staff .. the 2 ladies working Tues eve were especially lovely .

Wanted a quick night away and the Tradesman arms was a great choice. Reasonably priced bed and breakfast. Room not huge but had everything you need and was clean. Good view from the window, am sure will be spectacular on a sunny day.
Ate there in the evening too. A lovely welcome from Kev and Suzie.
Food and drinks all reasonable price, food good pub grub and delicious. Pub was quiet but a good atmosphere was generated with a few locals at the bar.
A good location to explore Dartmoor from.

The room was clean and comfortable

Our third and fourth visits last week to this lovely authentic local. This is a proper pub, full of locals, visitors and their dogs. Good wholesome grub, tasty beer and friendly service. The burger was superb. Will be back next year. Thanks Kevin & Suzanne.

Stayed before. Again, an excellent visit. Superb food, drinks. Very friendly and welcoming. Our dog loved it and was very upset to leave (as we were)! Can’t wait to return. Will always be our first choice. Awesome. Thanks Kevin, Suzi and Saffie xx (K, J and Hagrid 😃)

Great little place for an overnight stay. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, competitively priced, reasonable food menu, good breakfast and fabulous cider “Hunts Wobbler” which is a good still flat farmhouse cider.

We called in after a walk for a drink but then decided to have some food but we were told that the kitchen was closing soon but the lady behind the bar was very helpful and told us not to worry about rushing to decide what we want
We ordered a cheese plowman's and a sandwich and sat back in the garden to enjoy the lovely views
Our food arrived and wow the plowman's was the biggest I've ever seen
The sandwich I had was lovely but secretly I want the plowman's maybe next time
As for the prices for the size of the plates of food we received and the friendly staff I feel the whole lunch was excellent value for money
I would highly recommend the trademans arms for great beer and food
