Really quick service, lovely fish & chips. Well located in the middle of town. It came highly recommended in our cottage visitors book, and we weren't disappointed.

Great fish and chips. Very clean. There is a small car park about 100 yards away. 30p for 1/2hr and a larger one 5mins (or less) walk away

I have eaten fish and chips (I'm a heathen so I have their great curry sauce also) from here on quite a few occasions and have never been disappointed. Freshly cooked crispy battered fish and a mountain of tasty chips. There is always a queue and that is for good reason. If you eat in you can get a pint... More

A wonderful response on the phone to take booking inside the restaurant (take away available) led to a superb meal. The young chap who served us was good and the food hot, well cooked and extremely tasty! Well done team! Visitors to area, not the car park just around the corner opposite the local Coop! Hmmmm!

We have often bought the Jolly Rogers excellent fish and chips to take home but on this occasion we "ate in" at the restaurant next door. It was great to have the meal piping hot and only seconds after being cooked. The place was extremely clean and welcoming and the service was impeccable, we shall certainly go again!

This is our local fish and chip shop and as a northerner I found it hard to find decent fish and chips down here, but these surpass all of them! The best fish and chips ever and they never have an off night! The staff are great and very friendly too!

We always make a point of seeking out great fish and chips - Magpie Caff in Whitby, Original Harry Ramsdens (not the chain), Ashvale in Aberdeen, Seaforth Ullapool, Armstrong's Manchester, Golden Hind London ..... look 'em up! But this one is up there with all of them and then some! Great firm, sweet haddock in crispy batter and lightly fried... More

We visited the Jolly Roger this morning for breakfast, nice friendly welcome, the café is very clean and well-spaced tables. There is a good choice of items on the breakfast menu including black pudding, we ordered 1 large breakfast with hash browns and 1 ordinary breakfast, it comes with toast, tea, coffee or a soft drink. All cooked fresh to... More
