This was recommended by a guide after an organised walk. We arrived early in the evening to an almost empty pub only to the told they were only serving locals and residents! Went to the brick house in Warburton instead
They announced on the internet that they would reopen on Friday 14th December, 'in time for the Christmas festivities' following renovations and redecorating the kitchen. So they may have done but today, Sunday 16th, they were still shut.

Oh dear.....negativity from start to finish...this pub will fail before much longer....what sort of place has stale breakfast food , no lunch, no dinner...not worth remarking about really as even the locals will not set foot in there.
