The Cafe On The Green

Open everyday for breakfast, lunch and cream tea. We serve quality organic loose leaf tea, blended for us here in Devon. Our coffee is also roasted locally. All our food and cakes are homemade. Traditional English Food, excellent quality and locally sourced. We have ample seating inside with two log burners for the colder / wetter days. Outside in the garden, again lots of seating, overlooking the village green and towards the church.

We were surprised to find this wonderful cafe open in the middle of January. It was however open and two cups of smooth warming hot chocolate was just what the doctor ordered after climbing Haytor in a chilly breeze. The staff were very affable and...More

Popped into the Cafe on the Green after a walk on Dartmoor. Much larger than I thought it was going to be, so plenty of space/covers. Good menu choice and the food looked very nice. We only had a drink and cake, but was good....More

A wonderfully welcoming, spacious, well appointed cafe in the middle of Dartmoor. Well worth a visit. We had tea, coffee and scones, which were to die for! Lovely staff and the owner is generous with her time chatting to her guests.

It was a busy Sunday lunchtime and we had not booked a table. Despite us being a party of six which included two high chairs a very kind staff member set to reorganising a couple of tables for us. Service was slick. The food was...More

Lovely welcome, good tea and nice food although a bit pricy now for some items. The roaring log fire and comfy chairs adjacent it are super in winter after a walk on Dartmoor.

Like many others who have answered we did not have a meal here just a snack. With Christmas fast approaching perhaps better to ring and book and ask menu choices.

Hello, yes certainly we do serve Sunday roast. And we do take bookings, but we would need to know exactly what you mean by a large party… if you would be so kind as to telephone then we can discuss your requirements exactly... More
