Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We celebrated my Grans 93rd Birthday on Saturday 25th November and from booking to leaving was a great experience. We come a few times a year and it is always great. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful. Jay, Kia and Ruth served us...today and they were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and we were a bit awkward haha! They are an absolute asset to your team. I work in a pub in Cornwall and I know how hard it is to get good staff, so you are very lucky with these 3, they are great. The food was lovely and generous portions. We will be back soon. Please make sure that Ruth, Jay and Kia and the chefs get this feedback as they really deserve it. Great place :)More

We have been many times to this Public House and always enjoyed it. Today was no exception, although under new management it came up to expectation with exemplary service both in the bar and the Restaurant. We all had a Carvery and the quality and...generous slices of meat were special. Our waitresses were diligent and nothing was too much trouble. We sat in the bar area before eating and after and the log burner not only gave heat but also ambiance. All in all I am happy to give five stars and will definitely be re visiting.More

I have no complaint about the food but the service appeared chaotic. We sat and ordered drinks but had collected and half eaten our food before they arrived. At no time did I feel relaxed but like something on a conveyor belt. An O.K. place...if you want to pay top prices for cafe service.More

Me and my work colleges that are working right next to the smugglers come here to get a carvery every week. We are always met with a very warm welcome and get to enjoy some amazing food. I would like to especially mention the lovely...waitress Ruth as she always greets us all with a huge smile and makes sure we have everything we need and everyone we work with thinks she's great, one of our highlights of our smugglers trips so thankyou Ruth!More
