Very warm and welcoming staff. Outstanding customer service. The staff made you feel very welcome.
Even when it got extremely busy, the staff didn’t change how they were with customers.
The food was quick to arrive and of high quality. They had run out of...the food I ordered but offered a higher priced substitute for free.
The views are stunning and the Christmas decor simply beautiful.
Went to this place three nights in a row only to be turned away at 6:45pm by a very unfriendly woman stating abruptly it was closed, despite the opening hours on the door clearly stating that it’s supposed to be open until 10pm. Finally got...in on the fourth night of trying at 5:45pm. We were made to feel very unwelcome by miserable and unfriendly staff, who never raised so much as a smile. I was asked if I wanted to order food, and if so I needed to hurry up as they wanted to close. At 6:30pm staff started to circle, to hurry us along and were petrified when they saw me looking at the food menu. A family of 4 walked in and sat down ready to order food. A staff member approached them and asked if they were ordering food they said yes, the staff member rudely replied oh we’re closing now. Avoid this place at all costs if you’re looking for a warm welcome without people clock watching and circling around your table forcing you out. It’s obvious the staff want an early finish every night and in doing so are making customers feel uncomfortable.More
Went in for a family meal whilst down Dawlish Warren, went it the place itself was nice, warming and Xmasy. Haf three meals and the kids meal was the better meal out of them all. The chicken in the curry was fatty and had no...flavour, the steak was bland and not was not cooked correctly. I won’t be going back at the expensive prices they charge. You better food in a weatherspoons.More
The staff were lovely & the pub itself is nice, just wish I hadn't ordered food. The pub was quiet but the food took ages to arrive and it was cold. The gammon was over cooked with cold soggy veg and the vegan burger (the...only V option on the menu) was dry, totally tasteless and cold. We ate very little of it. It was more than disappointing. Staff never came back to ask us how it was so I didnt get a chance to complain and I was just keen to leave.More
Went to the boat house tonight, we have been hundreds of times but never ever received both poor quality food and dreadful service!!! The place was filthy, I had to ask a young girl to clean the spilt pop of a seat and chips on...the floor trampled in!!! The food was poor to say the least, they forgot one of our meals so our food was cold, staff rolled their eyes when we questioned how’s long the missing meal would be!!! The staff are so young and clearly not trained in customer service? They just stood and chatted to each other? Most certainly will not recommend to our customers and things will need to change before a re visit!!!!More
Ate here several times, great friendly staff, very accommodating with dogs allowed inside the restaurant, food was lovely and there is a great choice of cakes for after, good atmosphere, the music is nice and not too loud, nothing appears to be too much trouble.
