We popped to Dawlish on our weeks holiday as this week we devote to our dear old dog merlin. We had a lovely walk Dawlish's nature reserve and nice soft beach for the old boys feet!! We popped into the boathouse for a quick drink before walking to Dawlish itself. The guy behind the bar was very chatty and friendly... More

We visited on a week day for lunch. We sat in the new part that faces the slope up to the beach. The food didn't take long to come. Two of us had mixed grills which were on the specials board, and two of us had the chicken and ribs. The chips weren't that good. Maybe 'skin on fries' would... More

We visited on a Sunday and had a lovely meal..even the dog was welcome! The meal was served quickly and in a welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Soft play is upstairs and desserts are provided using a card so you can redeem them next time if the kids don't want them on the day. The staff were lovely too...it's tough to... More

This is a nice seaside pub in a brilliant location overlooking the beach. The menu is typical pub grub with plenty of choice and reasonable prices. I had a very nice home made chicken madras curry with basmati rice, popadom, naan bread and chutney. Good curry heat ( not too much) and hot in temperature. Very happy. My wife had... More

We dropped in to the Boathouse for lunch halfway through a longish walk, hoping for a sustaining lunch, delivered reasonably quickly. The Boathouse delivered on both scores and was good value as well. The service was efficient and the meal arrived in under 10 minutes. We had gone for basic walking fare and we pleased to find that it was... More

Called in here several times during a recent break in Dawlish. Very welcoming, nice friendly staff. Can't beat a (very) nice coffee after a walk with the dog on the beach in January & dogs are welcome here on the ground floor, a real bonus for us. Had a light lunch on one occasion, also good. Recommended.

We have visited this restaurant before, so we know the type of food it offers- we went for the location as we were only in Dawlish Warren for the night. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food came incredibly quickly. The BBQ burger was excellent, however the hotdog with fried onions had boiled onions and the accompanying salads... More

We are a family friendly, family run freehouse bar and restaurant right on the seafront at Dawlish Warren. We provide everything from Seattles Finest Coffees to a full menu that covers lunchtime snacks to hearty main courses and desserts to die for. We have a separate childrens menu and a free soft play area for our younger guests. Along with a great range of local ales, we have a full range of lagers, bitters and ciders both draught and bottled. Our wines are a great blend of classics and new world.
We are happy to welcome any four legged friends in our lower bar area and outside balconies as long as they are happy to mix with our other guests. With stunning views of the surrounding coastline and just two minutes from the sandy beaches, The Boathouse is a perfect venue for any occasion
