Went out looking for somewhere to eat in Dawlish, out of season, midweek. Always ready for a curry, we were really surprised with the meal, it was fantastic ! There was personal visit from the chef, he came to the table to offer some personal adjustments to our meals. My specific request was regarding the strength of the curry, I asked for a curry, hotter than madras, but not quite a vindaloo, wow ! Absolutely spot on, a fantastic blend of spices with an amazing depth of flavour. Highly recommended !

We ordered a takeaway whilst down for the weekend and was very pleased we did. They were really busy and advised we would have a wait so that was not a problem and worth waiting for. There was lots of meat in the curries and all the food was very tasty. the garlic and coriander naan was delicious with fresh coriander. The delivery driver was very polite and courteous and apologised for the wait. As mentioned we knew they were busy and we were very satisfied with our food and the team kept us advised. Good customer satisfaction.... Clearly keeping customers coming back for more.... As will we be when back in Dawlish.

My wife and I had the most lovely meal at this restaurant. My wife had the Vegetable Masala & I had the Garlic Chilli Chicken & King Prawn Chilli Masala. We also had a keema nan bread, which was the biggest nan bread we had ever seen. We would definitely book again when we return to Dawlish.

We ordered a takeaway this evening as we fancied trying this restaurant's food after reading the positive reviews. Unfortunately for us the experience was very poor. We ordered poppadoms, and two chutneys (one being the onion one), onion bahjis Tandoori mixed grill, butter chicken, garlic and coriander naan bread and pilau rice. We waited almost an hour and a half, which is fine as the website stated this. On arrival we opened the packaging, the rice was cold, the onion bahjis were dry. The tandoor mixed grill was dry, the salad that accompanied it came in a little plastic bag, the carrot not shredded and there was no dressing. The butter chicken not very warm and was very sweet which is surprising as the other butter chickens I have had in the past have not been overly sweet. On a plus you could tell everything had been cooked, however, the only real positive is that the poppadums were light. For £36.50 this was a very disappointing meal and one not to be repeated which is a shame as we live locally and would have used this restaurant on more than one occasion.

Had a delivery take away. We ordered substantial meal having travelled for 7 hrs, told it would be 35 mins it arrived in 1 hr 20. The dishes were different from our normal understanding to say the least. On opening the Korma we found a fly on top. The Tika Marsala was very thin and included overpowering amount of dedicated coconut. The Everest lamb was so tough it couldn’t be eaten. We eat curry regularly and this really was one of the worst.

Ordered a takeout from here, and was very disappointed Three chillis on the menu means hot, so MAKE IT HOT. The food was also quite dull in flavour, and barely warm out of the container. We had to microwave it to get it hot again, although the flavour wasn't far off a microwave meal anyway. £40 for two curries, a rice and 2 naan. For that price, I really think the food should have been much better. Their website says if you spend over £20 there is free delivery within five mile radius, you get free delivery. I caught him charging me for delivery, and when I picked him up on it, he tried to waffle me out of it. I asked him to take it off, but surprise surprise; they charged it anyway. Seriously, if you are reading this and thinking of opening an authentic indian / nepalese restaurant in Dawlish, please do it. If you can show something more than contempt for a paying public, you will have this establishment closed in a month.

Dont often write bad reviews as I think they cam be unfair on the business but this experience really was atrocious. We ordered take away online, phoned them after an hour to ask about delivery time, it's on its way I was told, 30 mins later rang back, I put it in the car 5 minutes ago I was told, 20 minutes later I rang again, to be told it was on its way. Clearly lied to at least twice by this stage, no money off offered. It finally arrived 2 hours after ordering and really not worth the wait. Luke warm not very tasty. Really don't appreciate being lied to. Needless to say we wont be ordering again, if I could give a minus score I would.

Really nice curry (chicken tikka masala) lovely rice and poppadoms. The only issue was the amount of chutney we received which we paid extra for. We ordered 6 poppadoms and received enough chutney for maybe one. I think the management need to sort this out.

Went here with great expectations due to previous reviews, what a huge disappointment! Firstly the poppadoms came out way too quickly and turned out to be stale so sent them back- not a good start. Mains came out after quite a long wait, Everything continued downhill from then. All dishes were very bland, I’m not just talking lack of chilli , there was just no depth of flavour to anything. We love our curry’s and have eaten in some of the best curry places around the Midlands and in London so we know what is good and what is rubbish. We left most of the food and told the manager the reason, he didn’t say much and offered no discount on the uneaten meal. Wonder what all the people who have praised this place count as good food or maybe we just had a different chef that night? Wouldn’t risk wasting your money anyway.

Booked this as an anniversary dinner. The service was 5 star, the speed, accuracy and temperature of the food served was exceptional. Exceedingly good value for money, the front of house gent gave us an anniversary surprise, although anniversary was only mentioned whilst we ate, so he had no time to prepare anything. The food was correctly prepared, cooked and the spices were tongue tingling. Would recommend this restaurant, a pleasurable experience and the quality of food was outstanding, a 11 out of 10 on all aspects of our visit. The drinks were not overpriced, actually quite cheap, unlike some restaurants. We’re visiting Dawlish as part of our tour of the South West and I would happily dine here again. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful food.

I have visitied this restaurant on several occasion over the past couple of year and it has exceede my expectations every time. I love the food that they provide along with the service. The 3 young chaps working at the fornt are very polite and very attentitive and i think are doing a great job. The food speaks for itself which is very tasty and is one of the best curry houses i have tried. Keep it up.

I made an early order for myself and our extended family. About 10 of us in total. Requested it in 35m, what they advised would usually take 1hr. They totally delivered on the timing and we collected it 30m later. Everyone in the family had a different curry and each was warm and very tasty. Upon collection the team where super polite and efficient. The price was also super reasonable. Certainly would recommend.

As per usual the food menu choice is great , and soon they are expanding the Menu to have further Vegan options which is brilliant. We’ve never had a bad takeaway since we moved to Devon 3 years ago. The welcome also is friendly and polite and wouldn’t go anywhere else locally for Indian/ Nepalese food.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

From the moment of booking right through to paying the bill, we felt thoroughly looked after. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very welcome, fantastic customer service 😀 AMAZING vegan menu (all 4 of us with 2 children aged 11 and 13) had a wide range to choose from. Every dish had a perfect balance of spices and texture. Delicious! The staff gave great advice on portion size and how much to order. All staff were very professional and extremely friendly. Lovely atmosphere and music with traditional art on the walls. A wonderful evening. Thank you all 😀

Great meal, great service from the two young new staff serving. A hidden Gem in Dawlish. Years of visiting Dawlish and not knowing about this place!!! First impressions were that it looked like a cafe, it could do with looking a little more classy and expensive to match the food. Saying that it was a good experience, great food and lovely service.
