I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Beautiful food and very reasonably priced. We came for breakfast and all thoroughly enjoyed our meals - we had a small veggie breakfast, big normal breakfast and eggs champignon (mushrooms and eggs on a muffin). The mushrooms and eggs were out of this world. The quality is outstanding. Service excellent and very friendly faces. The conservatory is a lovely setting to eat and not too hot. Dogs are allowed. There is a small farm shop which stocks amazing things! Outdoor and indoor seating. On the main road and easy to find. Free parking. I want to come back and try all the mushroom breakfast/brunch dishes!
I also came here for one of their special dinner evenings and you get a set 5/6 course mushroom themed (veggie and vegan catered for) meal and a tour around the mushroom growing rooms. The owner gave the tour himself and he is so passionate and enthusiastic, great guy. Excellent value. Highly recommend!

Excellent place for a superb coffee and lovely breakfast. Very well priced too only complaint my egg was slightly over cooked. Not runny. But not an issue. Sausage was a proper sausage. And the bacon and mushrooms were spot on. Would def recommend Great little farm shop and the produce looked amazing Will be returning next year. This place is a gem. Well done all. One other complain yapping dogs all the time we were dining. Constantly barking at each other. And after 15 min the owner did sort of shut it up. But they thought it was funny. Others didn’t. Certainly not the staffs fault just irresponsible owners who had no respect for other diners. Nothing against dogs. If controlled. But this was a big negative.

Yes they need to sort out the parking and yes they need to build the toilets inside the main building and they are all in the immediate plans for this fantastic establishment run by Scott, his family and a really friendly organised team.
I loved hearing of the plans to expand further to do breakfast, lunch and dinner that will be super. The new restaurant space was much needed and lovely. Probably would suggest a little sign to say grab a table and order at the till as a lot of people arrived and didn’t know what to do. Once sorted though the food arrived in a timely fashion and was tasty and can I say how much we love the size of the mugs/cups for tea. Never ever change those please 😍. We’ll return for sure

Came here to finish off our week’s holiday from work. We arrived & the restaurant was quite busy but not overly busy as there were still tables to choose from. We placed our order, nothing complicated 2 fry ups one a veggie & 2 drinks one hot one cold. Drinks arrived in a timely manner but after waiting for 3/4 hour for our food & seeing people come in after us & getting served I went to enquire where our order was. The guy disappeared to check for me & said that ours was next he apologised & said the burners had gone down but when I said others who arrived after us had been served he said they were pre orders so two different excuses. When our breakfast came out 10 minutes later the waitress apologised & said there was an influx of people so that was excuse no. 3.
I think the truth is that we were missed somehow & that’s ok these things happen but just be honest & put your mistake right by maybe offering us complimentary drinks, my husbands drink had gone cold as he was trying to make it last to have with his breakfast.
Was the wait worth it - no. Cool beans, cool bacon and hard eggs plus toast that was barely toasted. Our dog enjoyed quite a lot of our leftovers at least. Very disappointed & could’ve been partially put right by offering proper customer service for their mistakes. We won’t be visiting again.

The cafe setting is like sitting in an echoey ship container with the staff at one end slamming the coffee strainer out. Sorry but it just doesn't work and needs to be moved back to the larger shop space. The filthy paving slab floor is also lose and very dangerous.
We visited this morning and when the breakfast finally arrived it looked like the egg had been cooked the day before. The waiter offered to get a fresh egg and took my breakfast back, but the brought it back without the egg! He said the 'Chef' (which isn't really a word that describes him) was cooking the egg and would bring it out. After a long wait I noticed he was more interested in hugging visiting friends in the kitchen cooking area, which isn't exactly hygienic! By the time the egg came out I'd eaten the breakfast as it was getting cold!
Sadly this establishment has lost focus. The quality of the food is good, but poorly cooked / presented and no longer worth the money. The owners just need to refocus their efforts and stop being distracted by visiting friends!
As a matter of urgency, the owner needs to sort the dangerous floor out, as it's an unacceptable health and safety hazard and will result in injury.

I took my mum to the Discover and Dine event and we were blown away. Scott and the team were so welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely, intimate and relaxed. The food was absolutely incredible and everything we tasted was of such high quality. The tour was interesting and informative, and a nice break between courses. It was great value and I would recommend to anyone thinking about a slightly different gift experience for a loved one! We even forgot to bring our own alcohol and Scott ran us down to a nearby shop- never had service like it!

Mostly terrible.
1 of our party had the pancakes and maple syrup with fruit. No issues with these, tasty as anything.
The rest however, wasnt. I fed this back to the cafe and the end of June for a visit we completed at the end of May. To date no reply, and i never expected one. We went after it being so highly recommended from everyone in the area, we were very disappointed. I will paste the feedback i provided to them for a full picture, but we will not go back, ever.
"I must say overall, it was rather a let down. I really hope you find this constructive feedback as it is intended.
I ordered garlic mushrooms on toast, with no cream sauce. The mushrooms were not cooked with garlic at all. I would have said something to have them changed but my family had theirs and we wanted to eat together. However, this was not the main reason I chose not to say anything. The mushrooms I had on my plate, while plentiful, which I commend you for, had clearly been left in the pan to go cold and rewarmed partially, but also left in oil and were very greasy, and certainly not freshly cooked/prepared.
Both my wife and I were very shocked the toast under my mushrooms, and her scrambled egg were not buttered, but dry. I approached the counter and mentioned this and asked for more butter.
I had a side of bacon with my mushrooms, and was left, yet again, disappointed. With the type of café you seem to be, the bacon was comparable to bacon from a ‘burger van. Tasting oily, and tarnished with the carbon from either the flat top or pan, that I don’t expect was cleaned well enough between cooks.
I write this feedback with the hope I do not cause offence, but hope it will aid you in future. I have seen the number of awards you had and have been nominated for, so equally I appreciate I may just be ignored.
To be open, I will be leaving a review on google etc to a very similar affect but wanted to approach you directly first, but as I say, don’t fully expect a reply"

We came across this lovely little hidden gem by chance. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but when you go inside you will be very gladly surprised. We were welcomed with a smile. The staff here are very happy.
This farm shop sells little gifts, produce and of course mushrooms. Lots of different varieties. There is a lovely room out the back that you can have a cuppa and a cake or something more substantial. We opted for the full breakfast and we weren’t disappointed.
The food is geared around using local produce and of course their very own mushrooms. There was not a long wait for the food and it was brought over to us by a very lovely lady who was full of smiles. The plates were warm which was really lovely to see and you could tell that the produce was excellent. We have had many breakfasts before and we would go as far as saying this one is the best we have ever had. 10/10 from us. The chef obviously knows their food and takes a pride in what they do.
We had a latte which was a good size and really nice coffee. We also had some organic cherry cola which was delicious. There is a good variety of food and drink options and the great thing is, they serve breakfast till 2pm. Great value.
There is even a little viewing window where you can see the mushrooms being harvested.
It is dog friendly so you can even take your furry companions along with you too.
We would definitely recommend this to anyone and will definitely be returning soon.

We were staying at the campsite next door and the reception staff couldn't recommend the breakfast at Forest Fungi enough. We decided to wonder over and try it and they were not wrong! There is an excellent selection that should please most people. All ingredients seem to be sourced locally and are fresh and of a high quality. My wife had the mushroom omelette and I had the Eggs Benedict. Both were superb. The farm shop is also very nice with some lovely local produce that you can buy.

Had wanted to visit . Arrived and after parking was warmly greeted and shown a table .We chose garlic mushrooms with toast ,and a bacon sandwich . Food arrived and was hot and tasty ,but could have done with a fork and a knife for the sandwich . Some napkins would have been nice as well.Nice and friendly staff but needs some TLC /upgrade on the toilets 🫣.

Away for the weekend and staying nearby, allowed us to visit here upon recommendation. Fab service and gorgeous food that's been cooked with care and very well presented.
The eggs benedict with smoked salmon was divine withe hollandaise sauce not being sickly strong. Tea lovely and large, no ridiculous little cups here - whilst the wife reported her set meal/fry up was perfect and the coffee well flavoured.
Highly recommended the food/drinks.
This popular cafe will benefit from plans to expand the seating as its currently a first come/first serve basis and so seating, especially for families can be an issue

I’ve been coming here for years and it just gets better, the new extension makes the place way bigger and the food quality is brilliant. Mushrooms grown and cooked on site that taste delicious. The staff are very welcoming to me and my dog and there were also treats available to distract him. If you want the best Eggs Benedict, this is the place to go

We booked in for Lunch on a Sunday with the grandchildren. We were half an hour late because of the traffic in Teignmouth, but the staff were very understanding. My wife and I ordered the garlic mushrooms, and they were simple excellent. Our granddaughter had the pancakes and ate the plate clean, and our grandson mushrooms on toast. The quality and quantity of the meals was spot on. They focus on the breakfast menu, and the kitchen closes at 2.00 pm, but if you accept that, it is a must visit venue for food. We ate in a light and airy conservatory, and there was plenty of space. The shop was also interesting with a range of good quality products, and (of course) a very wide range of mushrooms. I thoroughly recommend the location, and we will be back.

Great little farm shop and cafe. We booked one of their 6 course evening taster menus with a tour of the mushroom farm. It was a great experience. The food was very good and the staff amazing. Chelsea gave us the guided tour of the mushroom farm and she was brilliant. She really loves her mushrooms! We were all seated on one long table which may not suit everybody but we enjoyed the setup.
