Was taken here for lunch by friends who are locals and we just had the best lunch in the most gorgeous setting overlooking the river....I loved the whole, casual atmosphere, the friendly staff and most importantly truly delicious food...Half shell scallops were sublime and will be in my memory for ever! Everything we had was delicious... can't wait to return... More

Tucked away at the bottom of the hill overlooking the harbour you find this Cafe. It is only open for coffee and lunch. The food is excellent. I had the local scollops, my partner had the fish soup. There was so much fish and sea food in it, complete with a lobster claw. One of the best lunches we have... More

We've been eating here over many years and always had great food. Amazing view too. Marvellous fish dishes, love the scallop Caesar salad, friendly staff and good desserts. Looking forward to a visit later in the year.

We walked here from Dartmouth and it was lovely to anticipate our meal here. Exceeded expectations, particularly the Cesar salad with scallops, anchovies, pancetta and Parmesan -delectable. Great service and good atmosphere

We have eaten regularly at the Anchorstone Cafe for the last five years! It is consistently fantastic! The food is always wonderful, great quality and beautifully fresh. With wonderful views and very polite staff! We last ate there on April 29th 2017 and ate the most awesome Bouillabaisse! It was divine! and really reasonably priced!Followed by some beautiful local cheese!... More

We last visited The Anchor Stone Cafe a couple of years ago and have often talked about how good the crab sandwiches were, always measuring others against them, and those others always falling short. This week we finally made it back and our menu choice was simple - together with a Salcombe beer for me and a glass of rose... More

We visited yesterday lunchtime without booking which I don't recommend but we were lucky to get a table outside to enjoy the view. The service was first class, both friendly and quick. I can honestly say the scallops are the best I have ever tasted, my other half agreed, he had the fish and chips which again we agreed it... More

Had lunch there. Had to wait because it was so busy, but it was worth the wait. The sea food was excellent and so fresh. My mussels were the best I have tasted. Excellent!
