Awful coffee, dirty sticky tables, rubbish on the floor, hopeless staff. 3rd try but hasn't improved.

So nice to see this location brought to life, friendly staff and value for money in the cafe. It's great to see the gardens which are peaceful and serene and our only regret is not having the time to under take the tour, next time....Would highly recommend a visit here.More
Lovely lunch - excellent service Went for the special Christmas menu as there was roast goose on the menu, not disappointed. Last time we went service was very slow but not this time. Prompt, friendly and professional staff. This is my favourite farm shop, so...glad they now have a satellite premises at Buckfastleigh which is much much smaller you can still enjoy some tasty treats.More
We usually come here a few times a year for their amazing afternoon tea and are never disappointed. The food is always very good quality and so fresh. The restaurant has had a revamp too and looks incredible. Check out the toilets whilst you’re there...too! Great service and great prices too. We will be back again for Mother’s Day afternoon tea!! Be sure to check out the shop which is a must.More
We have visited a couple of times recently. Once for coffee and cake and the other for lunch, on both occasions we visited the shop. All were excellent and the food was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Paid £12 to walk around a field full of already picked pumpkins . Ice cream bus was a mass of flies upstairs. Shop overpriced and staff not the friendliest. Having said that we did enjoy the experience and would go again.
My son, granddaughter and I went to Pumpkin Fest here. I’m in my 60’s and I’ve never picked a pumpkin straight from a field. We had to book tickets online, and were given a time slot. The day we went was torrential rain, and when...we arrived it was a pure mud bath. There was child entertainment in a big top with Mark the magician. Thankfully when he had finished a wonderful show, the sun came out. On the grounds were many displays, some with copious pumpkins, must have taken hours to put together. Food and drink stands, and a lovely lady doing face painting. To wander the fields with a wheelbarrow, and eight pumpkins later of all shapes, colours and sizes, a hot coffee was much needed. The cafe there serves excellent hot drinks and cakes, and of course pumpkin iced cookies. It also has a restaurant area too, to which on a return visit we plan to visit. Having had this amazing experience in such a wonderfully organized farm, buying a:shop pumpkin will now be a thing of the past. Well done to all the staff who clearly made a fantastic job of Pumpkin Fest. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this farm for a visit all year round, and to purchase from their farm shop of top quality produce.More
Lovely well cooked brunch, good size portions, helpful engaged staff with smiles all round. Nice hot cuppa T with extra hot water was a nice touch. Very reasonably priced day out, the maze was good fun and we all enjoyed the magic show. Shame it...was torrential rain but we had fun in all the mud with our wellies on! It is a shame the tractor ride wasn’t included in the price as it would have been nice to have a look around however we didn’t want to pay the extra £3 a head when we have our own… The shop has some lovely produce which we certainly made the most of.More
Just love coming to strawberry fields friendly staff excellent food and produce Never disappointed when I visit here.
Disappointing visit. Paid £14 for tickets to the pumpkin fest for the family. Then £20 for 4 coffees and some mini donuts, which weren't great. Went to go into the pirate maize and was stopped by a snotty member of staff who asked if we...had booked it as it was an additional cost of £4 per person, I asked if we could pay for entry now, but she wasn’t able to charge us for then and there as it had to have been booked online, fair enough but no need to be spoken to like we were stupid! Face painting was £5 each, train ride £4 each. Pumpkins priced from small to large, the largest costing £15 each!!! I’ve seen the same sized pumpkins in super markets for £4 each! All in all an expensive day out for what is effectively just a muddy field full of pumpkins! Good for pics for social media if you like that sort of thing. Oh and they had some goats and very hairy cows.More
Had breakfast on way to Cornwall, as always the food is excellent and very quick service and nothing was too much trouble, The shop displays are very inviting to spend lots of money, a lot of treasures to be found. Pumpkin fest was on but...there were car park Marshals so loads of of organised parking.More
What a rip off £3 to get in pumkinfest but another £5 to go in maize another £3 for face painting 5 pound for hot dogs 10 pound average for each pumpkin we were a family of 5 I had to say no to some...stuff but still managed to spend over £100 didn't even do pumpkin carving I would of rather been charged like £15 per head which included everything for another £10 each could of got into alton towers never againMore
Brilliant place. Great staff. Great cafe. Great selection of cream teas and other pastry delights. Restaurant has a great menu and good food for all Reserving is wise at some times of the year. The farm shop has a wonderful and vast selection of all...types of food and drink. The kids will love it too. There are a few animals too. Goats, little horses and cows. There was a pumpkin festival when we went last. We as a family have been going for a number of years and every visit has been great.More
Our family of five adults and two children booked the afternoon picnic for 3.30 on what was a busy Saturday afternoon there. As it turned out it was far too busy there - uncomfortably so. The place was heaving and the staff, although working hard,...were clearly overwhelmed. One should not have to wait nearly an hour after the booked time for the food to arrive. No apologies for the lateness of the picnic. One of our party had to leave because he had to be elsewhere. Having said that the standard of the picnic was very good. A pity it was all spoilt by the delay and the place was too busy by far. In future the management should clearly limit the numbers to an amount it can cope with.More
My Mum and I went out for a treat and will not return. The first thing we noticed was how dirty the entrance mats were, they didn't look like they had ever been cleaned. The breakfast was of poor quality. After ordering it only took...a couple of minutes for the breakfast to come out. That rang alarm bells as it was obvious it was not freshly cooked. The bacon was cold, the sausages was overcooked and tasteless, the potatoes were definitely the days before. The only thing that was hot was the baked beans. The toast came out with hard butter and no separate knife, this was provided by the server removing a knife from an empty table. As for cleanliness there was dirt across the floor and one table the footrest was dirty footprints. As we were leaving someone was pushing some cakes under an counter on the floor on a tray barely covered.More
