Again I found inferior ingredients in my order. I had a toasted bacon sandwich with mushrooms and a bowl of chips. The bacon was see through full of fat greasy bread toasted one side the chips looked awful not crispy white and cold. I did...complain but nothing done no money taken off!! I also ordered Apple and rhubarb crumble and custard they were cold stone cold!!! I have had a similar experience before and was promised they would change and went back after the 8 weeks they asked me to give them it was better but they are now back to square one and over priced. Proprietors you need to get it sortedMore
Coffee and a scone for two cost over £17 - as nice as it was, how you can justify £1.10 for a tablespoon of jam, the same for cream is totally beyond me. Surely the almost £3 price of the scone could have included them?
My breakfast was only just warm and when I told the server, it was taken away and brought back, having been microwaved. It was very disappointing as I'd looked forward to trying the restaurant, having used the coffee shop many times.
Been here many times for afternoon tea and wanted to surprise my mum for Mother’s Day. Again we were not disappointed. Staff are so friendly and always smiling! Our afternoon tea was amazing yet again, thank you! Can’t wait to come back soon.
Worst breakfast experience, cold coffees followed by a cold breakfast with missing items. Last time we went items were missing and black pudding wasn’t even cooked so sent that back. No third chance unfortunately. Real shame as a great venue.
On our way to Cornwall we, once again selected Strawberry fields for a stopping place for breakfast. As usual it exceeded our expectations. In this world where things seen to be getting harder to make ends meet I would like to say thankyou for the...excellent quality and service. I just wish we lived a little closer and we would see you more oftenMore
Excellent food. Very pleasant staff. Good value for money in the restaurant. The farm shop is expensive and in both the shop and the restaurant there was quite a long queue waiting to pay.
This is a quality farm shop just off the A30 and well worth stopping off for dining or shopping. There is a great selection of fresh food & drink and a lot is made on site or very local. There is a coffee shop and...restaurant, we had breakfast which was excellent. Check out the new toilets! like a 5* hotel. A great stop over on the way to or from Cornwall with a playground for the kids as well.More
Little bit disappointed with food had a brisket burger and chips for £16.95, been a farm shop I expected more, seems it was a glorify McDonald's but looking around other meals look great, my wife's vegetarian breakfast was good and staff were very pleasant, even...though my meal was not great I'll go back and give a second chance, also location great and walks around complex.More
We have been meaning to visit for long time and finally made it today. The farm shop is excellent and great to visit a form shop that produces most of their own stock. Our main aim was to have lunch and we all had the...burger which personally speaking was one of the best burgers I’d ever had. The staff are so pleasant and very helpful, my Mum particularly liked the relish on the burger so we went back in the shop to see if we could find it which we couldn’t. My husband went back into the restaurant to ask if they sold the relish in the shop and the waiter first of all asked the chef and then came out with my husband to ask someone in the shop if they had any (apparently there’s a batch being made up next week so we’ll be back), talk about going above and beyond! On the journey home we did nothing but talk about how good it was and making plans to visit again very soon.More
Had a superb Sunday roast lunch , soo tasty, fresh vegetables and all served lovely and hot. Pleasant staff. Nice ambiance. Highly recommend
We have been here many times but on this occasion things were very different. Taken to our table which was not made up apart from a few bits of dirty cutlery and hadn’t been wiped over. When breakfast arrived it wasn’t as good as previously....Eggs were overcooked, turned sausage over and was overcooked underneath. Mushrooms and tomato had black bits on them. Tea was lovely and had hot water to top up. Floor was dirty. Had chips under our table at 11am! Very disappointed.More
Came for lunch & had a festive baguette! It was nice but wasn’t much for the £11 price tag ( for a baguette ) - had much nicer elsewhere with much more filling : flavour. Service was efficient in the restaurant + was glad to...have booked as it was busy. Was a little disappointed that the shop staff on the cheese counter lacked any customer service skills. I waited for around 4 minutes in front of the women serving with no acknowledgment at all, I wanted to buy desserts to take away but ended up leaving as she was so occupied pricing cheese despite seeing me and choosing to ignore me. Ended up spending money elsewhere on desserts and I’m sure it was appreciated there!More
Have visited many times but have noticed a real drop in service and quality recently. Came for breakfast. Quite a wait before order was taken, we had waited 40 minutes after we had placed order before waitress advised me no gluten free bread available, not...much choice for special dietary requirements, my daughter then had to decide quickly on an alternative as the rest of group waiting. She was not given the option to look at menu again. When it eventually arrived food was just warm and mediocre. Bacon had tough rind, toast was just warm bread, partially buttered and poached eggs over cooked. Such a shame as had previously had some very good food there.More
