My husband and I stopped off for lunch at the Town Farmhouse after a lovely walk. We were able to sit outside, and it's lovely spot opposite the church - quintessentially English. We shared a pasty which was very tasty, and had scones with butter and jam. The staff were polite and were doing a good job, and the food... More

Our first visit to Town Farmhouse, and will definitely be returning there when we next visit Mortehoe. Very conveniently positioned in the centre of the village, just yards from pubs, shops and restaurants, as well as footpaths to cliff-walks and beaches. Lovely cosy room, really quiet and comfortable. Excellent very filling breakfast. And lovely friendly hosts for whom nothing was... More

We decided to stop in and have cream tea. We were told to sit at a table in the garden and someone would be out to give menu/take order. We order a drink and a scone. The scone came out warm but it was rather bland and not the best scone have had. The clotted cream and the jam were... More

My wife and I stopped here for a snack. We were seated by a lovely lady who took our order in good time. She was extremely polite and welcoming. We both had an egg mayonnaise sandwich with a side salad and crisps which was delicious. It may be deemed a little expensive by some but the quality of the food... More

This is our second stay at the Town Farmhouse. Like the first we loved every moment. Actually cannot think of anything bad to say about this lovely place. Heidi and David are wonderful hosts. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed and very quiet. The cream teas are delicious as is the breakfast. We are already sorting... More

Visited here on our week holiday, it was far the best cream tea we had ever had! could defiantly tell that everything was homemade. slightly expensive with 1 pot of tea for 4 people costing almost £7! but couldn't fault the scones, service was efficient and welcomed with a smile.

I visited the lovely village of Mortehoe during a recent family holiday and was very dissapointed with the quality of everything we ordered the "pasties" we eventually ordered after a 25minute wait sat around a still uncleared table , didn't even resemble what I would consider to be a pasty , they were like the cheap rubish pastry inposters you...
