We had a fantastic Easter Sunday lunch in this charming country pub. The staff were all fantastic and considering it was Easter and a lot of bookings, we had excellent service. The food was delicious and incredibly good value, I would highly recommend and will...return if ever in the area again. Well done Exeter Inn.More

We loved this pub, the people there were just brilliant, very grateful for a quiet evening and a nice meal on a Weds night in March. The beer was good, the food was good, especially the sticky ginger pudding, it was perfect! Prices were comparable...with a lot of other places however quality was much better.More

Our dining experience at the Exeter Inn was nothing short of outstanding! The staff and owner were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure our meal was enjoyable. The food quality surpassed our expectations and was notably better than what we've experienced at...the Mole Resort, and surprisingly, it was more affordable as well.More

This is such a wonderful pub. We came for a quick lunch with the dog, but we're so impressed we booked for dinner the next day. The staff are wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. For dinner I had the cassoulet which was actually a special...they had run out of but still managed to do for me and it was delicious. Great vegetarian options as well and good wine. Plus our dog was really happy with the bar treats. Looking forward to the next time we come when I can sample their famous pie (proper pie not a stew with a pastry top)More

10/10 We came here for lunch and the dinner the next night as we liked it so much. Whilst staying at the mole resort. Excellent food , super friendly service and lovely atmosphere and eclectic decor … Dog friendly and kiddo friendly , and very...nice vegetarian food (as well as meat !) Husband had cassoulet which they made for him as it was a lunch special that had sold out when we came for dinner on which was so accommodating and kind and apparently super yummy. Daughter rates ice cream 10/10 .. pure Devon ice cream highly recommended , we were staying at mole resort and it is a 15 min walk down the road .. whilst is definitely well worth it . Next time we come to Devon … the pie is definitely on husbands list to have nextMore

A super Sunday lunch, probably the consistent best in north Devon. Melt in the mouth beef and succulent pork with Yorkshire puddings and a variety of vegetables and tasty roasties, excellent gravy too. All served with a smile by the ladies of the team. The...pub has just had a refresh of its decor and looks great. Well done Hazel, Cam and the team, we love you!More

Highly recommend! We were staying at the mole resort down the road, this pub was a short walk and we had the best meal of our whole week away. Extremely friendly, warm and welcoming pub with amazing food and great beer! Extremely dog friendly which...is always a plus. I had the pie and it was absolutely delicious, very generous portions too. Will absolutely go back if in the area!More

This place is absolutely spectacular, stunning interior and the outside is beautiful at night with lights hung around the front of the pub and car park. There is a lovely seating area outside which looks ideal for summer time. The food was absolutely fantastic. We...were a party of 5 and 2 of us had the “cock and bull” which was a small piece of steak and a chicken breast with onion rings and chips. The burgers my friends had were great and the presentation of the fajita was perfect. This was and still is a very special place and I’m glad to have celebrated my 18th here. Hazel and Steve are such lovely people and they are very passionate about their beautiful pub restaurant. Thankyou very much !! XxMore

We had Christmas Day luncheon out for the first time in years and what a delight the whole experience was. The restaurant was suitably prepared with decorations, crackers, table quizzes, and a very warm welcome by all the staff. Our pre-ordered food appeared without hassle...and was plentiful and delicious . Staff were attentive but not overbearing. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and everyone appeared to appreciate the effort put in by a the Exeter In. Team. Thank you.More

Very good and friendly service. Wonderful cosy atmosphere on a cold frosty night Unfortunately food was not what we are used to here. Fish cakes and chips were dried up and curry was tasteless. Very disappointed.

Three vegetarians three carnivores and we all enjoyed all three courses. The vegetarian gravy is lush. Starters and Puds really scrummie. The Pinot Grigio complimented the vegetarian wellington perfectly. The Exeter Inn is North Devon's CAMRA pub of the year. No real ale was consumed...tonight but sure on a return visit it will be imbibed. A cupboard of games. Books and colouring - definitely a plus for parents entertaining children. Looking forward to a return visit not just to introduce other friends to this lovely English Pub BUT especially to meet Frankie the Pub Dog 🧡 💜More

Superb pub within walking distance of The Mole Resort. Warm welcome, extensive food menu and great selection of drinks. Added bonus of being able to take the dog inside and leave our muddy boots outside. The food was delicious.
