A nice looking place. The menu looks quite varied. The food was decidedly mediocre. The bill was shocking ! We definitely will not return. At just short of £40/head we expected much better.

Great food selection with generous portions and friendly service. Good choice of beers, wines and spirits. We sat indoors but lots of good quality seating outdoors also. Definitely recommended and look to return in the future.
Excellent all round, excellent food, staff very welcoming and professional , Very good pub for families and dogs.
Great food , great value for money , lovely friendly staff, great service, we eat here for a week as the hotel which we were staying at the restaurant there was not very good . But we found this little gem the White Horse Inn...highly recommended 10/10More
What a lovely Inn and fantastic garden play area, but the food, what a let down. A Sunday roast was £16 there were four lovely roast potatoes, meat, Yorkshire graves but sorry what about the vegetables. A tiny amount of broccoli and twoFrench beans, there...might have bee a few peas. All for the grand price of £16. Never again, I’ll cook at home like lots of people no wonder it’s not busy.More
A long awaited family lunch and White Horse did not disappoint. Welcome was warm, table was perfect, service was excellent (kiddy was WELL SPOILED!) , choice was incredible and every dish was cooked to perfection and served quickly and piping hot. White Horse cannot be...faulted on anything. Well done the team ...More
Pleasant enough, but sadly, not the pub I remember frequenting about 40 years ago. Then a delightful country pub, serving good and out of the ordinary food in a superb setting. Now it's a pub! Just that, like any other chain of pubs serving pub...grub Nothing wrong with that. It offered the same sort of menu as I would expect in any pub chain, and prices about the same. Clearly very popular and very pleasant and efficient service. All round a good pub. Just not the one I remember, but then, what Is?More
Enjoyable family Sunday lunch Well cooked crispy and soft roast pots and vegetables really well cooked with a slight crunch and not overdone like one gets often in carvery situations. Portion size was satisfactory and deserts were slightly out if the ordinary which was a...nice change. Friendly polite young staffMore
Popped in by chance Could not fault the food was hot , freshly cooked and well presented. The staff were very welcoming. Definitely recommend and will be back
Absolutely fabulous meal. I had the pie of the day and my daughter had a pasta dish. Both served piping hot by very pleasant staff which were both extremely polite and very accommodating. Food was exemplary and very nice modern ambience. Staff couldn’t do enough...to please. Will definitely be back !More
Hello, We have been visiting Beer for many years now and God knows how many times we have passed this place without visiting, but did so today. The couple here run a very slick service. We were seated quickly where menus awaited us, and while...we browsed, our drinks were ordered and delivered. In a very timely fashion, our food arrived. My Wife had liver and bacon and I opted for the gammon. Both came piping hot, generous in portion and very well priced and yes, they were both yummy. Will definitely return and keep up the good work you two keys. BTW, the menu offered great variety and still offered old time favourites such as the gammon. Favourites that are becoming a thing of the past ? Thanks Gary.....More
We have visited a number of time recently and each time the food and drinks have been consistently good. Menu choices are varied, along with an ever changing specials board. Beer for me has been either St Austel's Tribute or Otter Ale, and both have...been good - evidence of a well kept cellar in my opinion. It is more of a meal venue than a drinkers pub, but there is ample space for both and as tables are not all layed out for dining (something I really don't like), drinkers don't feel they are intruding.More
Have just got home after stopping here for lunch. The welcome was warm, the cider was deliciously cold and the food was just so wonderful. I opted for the chicken, bacon melt and can honestly say it was the best I have EVER eaten! The...chicken was so moist, just the perfect amount of bbq sauce and chips to die for. My partner had the ham egg and chips which was also of the best quality, great ham, beautifully cooked orange yolked eggs and again perfectly cooked, crispy chips. Can’t recommend this place highly enough! If you haven’t been, you are missing out. Thank you White horse. We will be back xxMore
Has become a fairly regular stop for us. Food excellent with good specials board. Lots of room including great little cabins outside. It’s not the cheapest around but quality counts too.
Stopped here for a meal and a drink. Lovely gardens, great staff and really good food. There are some places that stand the test of time, and this is one of them!
