When they’re busy food takes a while but they’ll always be honest in terms of the wait time and the food is always tip top.
To cap it all the staff are honest, friendly and clearly love working there.
Keep it up bar electric. You guys rock!!!!

We were in the town looking for somewhere to eat. We thought it may be an issue getting a table because of Covid limiting space. I spoke to a lovely lady at the entrance who found us a table within a couple of minutes. I watched and there was always a staff member at the entrance to help people. There were 5 of us and we received our drinks quickly. We ordered a range of food, sandwiches, burgers etc and everything arrived in a reasonable time and were delicious. We stayed quite a while after the food, enjoying more drinks and never felt pressured to leave. We were regularly asked if we wanted more drinks. The staff were very friendly. I felt safe as there was a reasonable separation between tables and they were disinfected between customers..

Visited yesterday for lunch having been confronted with an unwelcoming sign along the lines of 'no dogs allowed anywhere on premises' at the nearby Red Barn. Well, in a way I am pleased that sign was there otherwise we may not have ventured up to Bar Electric where the welcome could not have been different. Engaged with no less than 5 staff throughout lunch and without exception each one made an effort to be really friendly as well as being knowledgeable as to items of the menu / drinks. The food was also excellent and although they do not take reservations, which could lead to disappointment as busier times, Bar Electric will be our new first port of call in Woolacombe for lunch, dinner or even just drinks.

The opinions expressed here are of my own and in no way associated with Bar Electic. After arriving in Woolacombe on Friday we drank and dined at the Red Barn on our first evening. We also visited Bar Electric for a few more G&T`s like one does, the bar staff were excellent and most welcoming, the ambience of the place was great, nice and clean and had a good vibe to it.
We decided to eat there the following evening, after arriving and ordering a round of drinks we looked at the menu and placed our orders. A Pizza, a pulled pork roll, a burger and calamari. At this point we were told that we would have a 50 minute wait, ok we said we would still go with it. As time went on we were getting to that point of no return so decided to order some appetizers as we were told they could get that to us a lot quicker, the truth of the matter was we still had a long wait for that to arrive. When it did arrive it was hot and all had a great taste from the various dishes we had ordered.
Eventually the main meals arrived and in all honesty they were a bit of a dissapointment. The burger was just a bland tasting piece of tight textured piece of burger, from memory i`m pretty sure it was advertised as a gourmet burger but happy to be stood corrected on that. The calamari was definitely overcooked to the point that the batter was really dark brown and tasted as if it had been fried in old cooking oil, the pizza had a nice thin crust as promised but was lacking a lot of garnish such as olives, and apparently the pulled pork roll was just ok according to my wife but nothing outstanding.
I am still not sure what the real reason was for such a long wait to get our order out on time, as I noted there were at least 5 tables who came in after us and were all served before us, maybe the chef had difficulty getting four meals out all at once. Overall the prices charged for the food was not reflected in what was dished up.
A real shame when something so simple to achieve is messed up, I do not expect a huge plate of food for my money but I do expect value for money. This fell way short of that mark imho.

Bar Electric's walk in/no booking policy sounds great but in reality you can't get a table. Seems like people camp out from late afternoon until evening food service begins so unless you want to drink the afternoon away you have no chance of getting a table. They refuse to reserve you a table later in the evening if you turn up and they are full. They didn't seem bothered by the loss of revenue meals, drinks and desserts for a group of 6 when they turned us away twice. Clearly they are doing very nicely. Sitting outside in plumeting temperatures waiting over an an hour for a table ... no thanks. There are two fish and chip shops and takeaway pizza, plus restaurants you can book within two minutes walk. Sadly I think they have got too big for their boots!

Lovely food and most of the staff really friendly and accommodating. We had 4 children with us, two of which were babies who were being entertained by watching Douggie before we ordered food. At the end of our meal(weirdly after we’d eaten) the owner asked us to turn the phone down. How miserable of him! He had also asked a group of 4 or 5 men at the side of us to be quiet whilst they were watching football. Funnily enough when I asked the men if they had heard us they said they hadn’t. We hadn’t heard them either. Think the owner had a bee in his bonnet! Needless to say we will be using other more family friendly places to eat for the rest of our holiday. Not really family friendly as advertised!

Lovely place located close to the beach. Food was really nice and reasonably priced. Staff were all
Friendly. The kitchen closes between lunch and dinner but when we arrived at 5pm (kitchen reopened at 5:30pm) we were told that staff would be taking orders at 5:30. Staff then take orders by order of arrival and the system seems to work well. Will definitely be back.

Given the current situation of COVID based staff shortages in Woolacombe there are only a small number of bar/restaurants open at the moment. Thankfully Bar Electric was open and didn’t disappoint. Although we had to wait we were, on each occasion we visited, told there was a wait and a delay in food. Either like it or lump it and we liked it….. Whilst we had to wait for the food it was not disappointing and came within the time quoted. All the staff were working hard and remained professional. Met with friends who were visiting the area and had no problems having our drink In here. Keep it up!

We had a really good meal here - there was a bit of a wait due to staff shortages as there were only three staff due to some of them isolating. But the waiting staff explained the delay before we sat down and were very helpful and polite, despite clearly being stressed and overworked. The food was delicious, our kids enjoyed their meals too and the place was really clean. I'd go back and recommend to a friend any day.

The atmosphere and staff have absolutely excelled with service this evening a calm, attentive team considering the sun was shining and exceptionally busy. The wait on the food although a little long, was absolutely worth it due to the freshness and taste, honestly, amazing food. With a huge range of gluten free products. Made our evening, thank you very much. Especially too Anna and Tom. Even with our number of table moves, the couple of minutes wait for a table outside with their amazing view was absolutely worth it.
Thank you again, will definitely see you soon.

Seated to have a drink first, was quickly seated to a table. The waitress we had catered for my husbands allergy (onions) which isn’t easy at the best of times. Food was tasty and decent portions. We will be back the next evening of our break. Thank you

We ended up here accidentally after the venue we had hoped for, for a large gathering, was not disabled access friendly. They don’t normally do larger seatings but they fit us in well, which was great as we were celebrating a big birthday.
From the moment we arrived, the service was perfect. Anything you could ask for was done with a smile and speed. A special request from our Nan for her meal was taken care of particularly well by one of the staff, checking with the chef if an adjustment could be made, and taking extra care to listen and talk to her as an elderly customer. The staff were attentive and always made sure we had the food and drinks we needed.
The food and drinks were all superb, all the party were happy and we ate and drank and had a wonderful time. Whether it was delicious falafel salad, the burgers or the poke bowl special. The cocktails were delicious too.
Even as we left one staff member cleared a sign out the way to make it easier for our nan to move down the only step to the restaurant.
Thank you everyone for making the occasion such a special one!

We visited on a Friday evening as we wanted somewhere to eat before a long drive home after a week away. We joined a queue to get in at 5pm and were greeted by a lovely lady who seated us indoors. As we were looking through the menu a table outdoors became available so before seating anyone else in the queue she checked of we would like it which I thought was a very kind touch. My little boy ordered a pizza from the kids menu, the quality of which I was impressed by. Usually kids pizza look thin and anaemic this one however looked fresh and tasty. It was so big we had some boxed up to take away. The Lebanese meze platter was absolutely delicious and my husband was very impressed by the pulled pork. The interior is fresh and clean and the staff are attentive and so friendly. Considering how busy it was we never felt rushed or forgotten about . Will definitely visit again on our next holiday.

We came here just for drinks and this place was lovely. Chilled music playing in the background, staff attentive and generally a nice vibe. We ordered Pimms and they came beautifully presented with all the garnish, perfect on a sunny day! You have a great view of the beach and it’s a nice spot to watch the world go by for a bit. We didn’t eat but walking past the kitchen to use the facilities, dinner smelt wonderful!

We ate here as a family of 5 and I would highly recommend it. We had a short wait for a table, we were acknowledged straight away and soon as a table became available we were shown to it. The location is lovely overlooking the sea. We have a few starters to share and I have to say the calamari was amazing. The mains were lovely, good choice of children’s meals and the burgers are amazing.
The service is great, drinks orders being taken first and then food orders in the order you arrive. Very well organised and the timing is fantastic- efficient but not rushed at all giving you time to enjoy your drinks and the view.
Dog friendly with a bowl of water available for the dog which is an added touch.
Can’t wait to go back for another visit before he head home.
