I've been eating Indian/Bangladeshi food for over 50 years and, in that time, have experienced good, bad and indifferent offerings. It is my preferred eating out experience. The Sundorbon is, in my opinion, the very best I have ever eaten - anywhere - and I...wish it was located nearer to my home [we were visiting Bridport on holiday, back in June 2023]. The front-of-house staff were welcoming, the service was prompt and the food was absolutely excellent. Consequently, I'm completely astounded that so many reviewers rated their experience as "Poor" or "Terrible". Indeed, I'm so surprised that I wondered if it was possible that so many people could have confused The Sunderbon for another restaurant, or, more plausibly, if the Kitchen Team is sometimes different. If you're wondering why I'm only reviewing now [as opposed to back when we visited], I'm planning a return trip to Bridport in 2024 and was checking out the restaurants we visited this year, as all of them were either very good or excellent when we experienced them [something that can't be said of the mostly average offerings that surround us at home (near Gatwick)].More

Very good Indian food, different from the normal dishes on offer at other curry houses . We had the Railway Lamb, which was very tasty. Service very good, the girls really did look after us . Recommended.

We eat here a lot and it is always a pleasant experience, the staff are always friendly and efficient. i tried the new menu item paneer bangalore (my new favourite) and my partner railway lamb, lovely flavours in both curries. i couldn’t recommend this place...enough if you’re looking for authentic meals or a lovely dining atmosphere. definitely coming back soon.More

This must be the worst Indian restaurant I have ever visited. The food was inedible tasteless and visually unappetising. How it received the Best Indian restaurant in the South West is a complete mystery I think it must have been a typing error, and the...award was for the Worst. Ate very little complained given 20% discount of a bill of £140, foolishly I accepted this meagre amount. Clearing tables a dirty knife was dropped on one of the parties arm and marked his clothing. A huge disappointment after such advertising hype. It was so bad would not even consider a second visit to redeem their reputation. Staff training on basic table service required. I cannot give any positive feedback on my experience. To round up my review I could have had a more enjoyable curry from one of the supermarkets at 15% of the cost of the eveningMore

Had a really nice meal here, had the bombay bicycle to drink, would have preferred kingfisher but it wasn't on that night. Must say really enjoyed it. Had sheesh kebab starter and it was one of the best I've had in a while. For my...main I had south Indian chilli chicken, which was very nice, my only criticism is that it used dry chilli's rather than fresh so didn't have as much of a kick. Quite pricey, but I think probably on par with everywhere else down here.... a lot more expensive than the Midlands. Staff very good and polite too.More

Lovely friendly staff and food was the best. We did book a table but it wasn’t ready when we arrived so was offered a drink at the bar on the house until table was ready. Order was taken very quickly and food didn’t take very...long considering they were extremely busy.More

We live miles away and first found this restaurant a few years ago. We had a takeaway this evening and it was the BEST Indian meal I’ve ever had, and we have had years of practice! Truly exceptional food.

Great professional service, great atmosphere but most importantly fantastic food. A sophisticated well laid out restaurant and attentive staff. My wife and I were very impressed and just wish we lived closer so we could come more often.

We ordered from here and the whole process from downloading the app to receiving the food was easy. Menu is clear. Prices reasonable and app simple to use. Once ordered you could track the driver when he was on his way. Nice touch. The food...was excellent. Nicely packaged - very tasty and still warm despite a little trip. We went to the Sundorbon last night (23rd September ). Our waitress is the newest member of their staff and may i say she was very polite and very confident in her new role. I started with Tiger Prawns they were delicious. My main was...Railway Chicken,coconut rice and garlic and cheese nann it was very mouth watering.
