Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are places where you go to because they warm your heart and make you feel at home, this is one of them. It was a windy but beautiful day, the view from the tables was stunning. The lovely owner made us giant sandwiches for £5, added tomatoes and lettuce just because she is nice. She told me the story of her dad who used to run the cafe and now has a bench in his name, how the that cafe has been in the same spot 40 years. If I lived closer this would definitely be my regular spot.

Pit stop for coffee and snack….. Home made flapjack was very poor, never had Rice Krispies in flapjack before, I suspect a cheaper ingredient than porridge oats. Piece was tiny and fell to pieces.

This is a super snack bar and with outside seating. Always helpful and polite staff Hot and cold snacks, cakes, coffee and teas, carbonated drinks and ice cream. This a real gem. The snack bar has been there many years under the same management. Outside of Covid -19, beach toys and deckchairs are free by request.

This little beachside cafe serves tea, coffee, brownies, flapjacks, pasties etc. Lovely big mug of tea and delicious brownie at a very good price. Perfect. Vegan options in pasties I noticed.

What a joke ! The place has a fantastic location on studland beach but the cafe is dirty, with garbage laying around, filthy gazebo's, and garden bench tables in urgent need of renovation. When I asked if there was a bin for the remnants of my ice cream cone the staff said to put the rubbish on a table ! The coffees were Luke warm, and on the pricey side. Staff were up themselves and unconcerned with customers.

This place has continually been tatty with litter on the ground. The plastic screen for Covid is no more than cling film with a hole cut in it. The washing up facilities appalling. We qeued for ice cream tubs only to be told they were only selling cones as more environmentally friendly. As I don’t consider cones Covid friendly we ended up with lollies. This is let under the umbrella of the National Trust whose standards are high. It’s about time they made them pull their socks up. There is the potential for a smart little business in the lovely location.

This is a small wooden shack cafe which serves great limited menu vegeatrai and vagen food. Do not let that put you off. My meat eating husband loved the cheeses and potato pasty. The home made lemonade was delicious and the ice cream (honeycomb flavour we had) was the best.

After reading a review in the telegraph recommending 'Joe's cafe' I thought I would give it a go, supporting local businesses etc...etc.. unfortunately however I don't think I must have got the location correct as the Joe's cafe I visited on South Beach studland was an absolute nightmare. Disorganised, Poor service and not a please or thankyou in the vocabulary of the girls taking orders. The ordering and service system needs a serious rethinking. Staff should be trained sufficiently and competent.i have owned bars and restaurants and have never known anything like it. The lost revenue is frightening....

Cute little shack had just what we needed on a hot sunny Monday in May. Yes service is a little slow at busy times, it’s not designed for big numbers of people. The pasty I had was warm, fresh and tasty. Sandwiches were fresh prepared but packaged. Coffee is small cups. Friendly service. Convenient location.

This has fast become our favourite spot for a morning coffee and cake. Whether we are sea swimming, kayaking or out on the jetskis, Joe’s Cafe is our go to spot! Welcoming staff, prompt service and incredible view. They offer vegan and gluten free options and are very accommodating of dietary requirements. Be sure to check this beach cafe out. They also do a banging paella night 🍲

I’ve had breakfast here twice now and both times it was excellent. Halloumi roll and bacon roll both delicious, generous portions of halloumi and bacon in each. The homemade lemonade is fantastic. Hardly fine dining but with a view across Studland Bay to Old Harry, it doesn’t matter!

Terrible food and incredible delays. Waiting over an hour for a sandwich with bread, ham, and cheese only was a travesty. It wasn’t toasted, or including the promised pickle or salad. Just bread and a slice of ham with cheese. Dry and plain and this took an hour. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday in October and the staff were lovely but just couldn’t manage more than 1 coffee every 5 minutes. We waited and watched several orders abandoned as it took so long. The staff said that 5 orders of drinks were abandoned, which makes sense as they all took over 30 minutes. Let my experience save you from disappointment. Just don’t bother. Not cheap, not tasty, and very very slow. The worst lunch I have had in years.

This cafe has a relaxed vibe that perfectly matches the beachside setting. Several vegan options - my partner went for the vegan rhubarb ice cream - and a great coffee to sip while watching the sea and the quiet beach. Lovely!

We diverted to Joe’s on the return walk from Old Harry Rocks. We received a very friendly welcome (from Joe’s mum we presumed), great tea / coffee / homemade lemonade ‘ snacks and good food too. Some nice touches like use of crockery / reusable glass jars (even if you take onto beach - minimal plastic) & strength of tea how you like it. Tables with shade / cover if inclement. Stunning view. Toilets are a short walk back up the access track. Make the effort to visit this beachside cafe, you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered a tea for my partner and a coffee for myself. The tea was made instantly and the coffee was placed in a que with an order number given...10 minutes later the cup of coffee was ready. My order number snatched from my hand and half a cup of luke warm coffee, given in return. A nice location doubt I will return to the cafe..
