Visited for Sunday lunch with some friends and there was live music from Jim on his guitar. The Roast is very good and generous portions, great value too. It's a small pub and very busy so recommend booking. Jim was very entertaining and we had...good fun with friendly service. Will visit again.More

We visited this well run and friendly pub last week whilst visiting family down south. The food was amazing, so fresh and very reasonably priced with great choices. We found the staff very accommodating, especially Millie and not forgetting Zoe too who couldn't do enough...for our family, apologies if we were a bit demanding! We will definitely return when we are in the area again.More

Popped in with family in the evening, had a great time and were well looked after by the staff who are professional, friendly and efficient. Well done to Zoe and Millie for putting up with some bad dad jokes and smiling through. We will visit...again. Thanks to all.More

Received a fabulous warm smiley welcome from Zoe and Millie. Bar and table service was excellent, with nothing being to much trouble. Food was great value, and there was a good selection of beers too. Well worth a visit when you’re next in town.

The sort of pub where you walk in and feel at home. We were taken care of by Milly. Milly checked details with us, such as what type of spirits instead of assuming that the most expensive was acceptable! Great food.We have used the Duke...in the past, and were able to compare pre and post Covid. Some pubs have been affected by Covid and it shows in their selection of food and drink, this is not the case with the Duke of Wellington. We will visit again and recommend to friends.More

We had just arrived in Wareham and were were looking for some food and drink. Along East St we spotted the Duke. We were greeted by Zoe who gave us a table and a menu. The food was very good at a reasonable price, Zoe...made sure all was well and we were well looked after. The pub is lively on a Saturday evening so don’t expect a quiet stay. Overall we were very satisfied, fed and watered job done.More
