Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My friend and I were in Wareham for drinks and a meal, and by chance stumbled on the Quay Inn. The quality of the steak was amazing, and the presentation on BBC a hot slate was unique! I’d maybe like a little extra ‘sides’ but...the ensemble was excellent value. I plan to return next year, and specifically visit the Quay Inn with my American friends - to show them real steaks!!!More

We stumble across The Quay Inn when working our way back to where we were staying in Bournemouth. Having driven into Wareham to take a look we pulled onto the Quay Inn car park because the bridge over the river was shut due to flooding....We were looking for somewhere to eat so we looked at the Quay menu and decided to give it a try. What a good decision that was. Inside there is a wonderful atmosphere that you only get in old traditional pubs. The staff were so friendly and obliging and best of all the food was superb. I would recommend The Quay to anyone in the area looking for somewhere to eat or a casual drink.More

Good atmosphere and service, but the menu hasn’t changed for years. Table service is new and delayed us getting a drink but flowed well when we reminded them we were there.

After stopping here for a beer and being impressed we decided to book here for the steak night. On arrival once again the service was very good. The place was busy for a Tuesday night mainly with the older generation. The steak was average to...be very fair. The portion of chips size was very small! Can now see why others asked for double chips. Such a shame we won’t be back.More

We stopped here for an evening meal, we had not booked a table, the staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and a great price. This is a great cosy, friendly pub/ restaurant with great food and a...great atmosphere. We were so impressed that we returned back again the following evening, with the same great food and service. Lobster bisque to die for. Possibly the best I’ve ever tasted. Beautifully creamy with lovely pieces of lobster as well. Prawn and crab starter also very good. Main courses good, service friendly. Let down only having a massive tv with the sound down on the...BBC News channel. Pictures of victims of the conflict in Israel and Gaza don’t make a good backdrop. Let’s have the tv off, except if you’re doing a sports night special. Your food is way good enough not to need a distraction.More
