Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were so lucky to find this excellent restaurant with delicious food and great service. Sunday roast looked amazing but we chose farm shop sausages and a baked potato. Superb and served with such warmth and genuine smiles. Thank you for such great service in...a beautiful setting. All tables happy and families catered for with a quick change to seating. You are amazing, thank you.More

Called here to shop at the farm shop, specifically for products to make 2 Christmas hampers with items from Dorset. Ample products in store & we spent well over £100 on various items. All look to be lovely items & should make lovely gifts. Sadly...didn’t sample the cafe as looked very busy & they had a notice that coffee machine not working.More

Delighted to find this farm shop cafe close to Kingston Lacey. Excellent lunch, the quiche is amazing. I wish it was available to buy in the shop. The tea was very nice too and cakes looked amazing.

We were delighted to discover this spot where we enjoyed a savoury cream tea ie cheese scones, served with cream cheese and relish. Well presented, fresh and delicious. We were able to sit outside which was a bonus. To be picky, we would have preferred...it if the tea hadn't arrived well before the food but that's certainly not going to put us off returning.More

Very disappointed with this place. We arrived at 2h35 hoping to get some lunch only to be told that they stopped serving hot lunches at 2h30. I explained that we had got lost , had a two hour journey back home and would be grateful...if they could serve us just one ham, egg and chips. I was told that they had already switched off the fire. We only had a drink and noted that they were still bringing out hot lunches at 2h50! Obviously they couldn’t be bothered to go ever so slightly out of their way to accommodate a customer. Unhelpful staff whocould learn a lesson or two from a nearby farm shop/cafe we were lucky to find later.More

We’ve been to Pamphill many times over the years when visiting family locally. The food is consistently good however our recent visit (Sunday) and our one last year the service was too slow. This time we ordered 2 creams teas and 1 kids meal. It...took almost an hour to come. By the time it did our tea was cold so we didn’t have anything to drink with the cream teas. Next time we will stick to takeaway ice cream (which is excellent) on the picnic tables. The shop is also worth a visit. There’s a great kids playground so such a shame the slow food let’s it down.More

Beautiful spot out in the country, not just a farm shop and restaurant but also a shop for pet food and accessories amongst others. Restaurant is cosy and with good friendly service. Very busy. We had the special, a chicken salad wrap and a side...salad and chips. The wrap itself was disappointing, just too big to eat easily and the chicken was somewhat dry and tasteless. A pity as otherwise an enjoyable experience.More

1st time here and my last. Met a very dear friend her for lunch Was sitting straight away with menus. Ordered drinks and lunch I ordered cheese on toast while my friend ordered a carnation chicken sandwich. When food arrived, it did look good Started...when I noticed something in my salded a dead moth. omg 😲 I felt sick as it was on my fork. At this point, my friend went to counter gentleman came over. Apologies, took my lunch away and asked if I wanted anything else, which I didn't. I was very shocked that there was no real apology apart from not having to pay for what we didn't eat. Myself working in the catering industry, and I would have bent over backwards for that customer to return as it only takes one bad episode review to have a big impact on this sort of industry.More

We went for a full English. It was absolutely delicious, the best quality food. All presented first class, hot and very tasty. I would say it’s the best English Breakfast in Dorset. The staff were very friendly, efficient and nothing was too much. I highly...recommend this place. My only complaint is that they don’t do black pudding!!More

We stopped for lunch on the way to Kingston Lacey and enjoyed some delicious food. I had the falafel which was served with roasted veg and halloumi, all of which was very tasty and absolutely delicious. My wife opted for the stilton quiche salad which...again was very good with balanced flavours and not too strong. Both dishes used quality ingredients and were well presented.More

A thoroughly enjoyable lunch, I had a great quiche. The tuna melt was indulgent yet tasty. I also bought some fantastic Dorset Tea. Friendly service. It was very busy but we didn’t have to wait too long. Lovely farm shop. Fairly expensive but quality products...including Snowdonia cheese! Not a fan of the condiment sachets or how hot the tea pot lid was when pouring but great food and service with a smile. Looking forward to returning!More

Great welcome and friendly service. We opted for the roast of the day and were very pleased with the freshness of the veg and quality of the meat. However all the desserts were disappointing. The brownie was dry and the crumbles were basically stewed apple...with a sprinkle of crumble mix. The custard was disappointingly sweet. A real shame as the main course was so good.More
