I reckon 50pc of a pub’s charm is its staff and the other the location. The Cross Keys has both. The landlady Viv has been at this pub for thirty years and more is welcoming and friendly.

Visited a couple of times for an evening meal. A quiet cosy country pub, pleasant surroundings and a warm welcome.
A good selection on the menue, food was served very promptly, piping hot, good porions, and tasted great.
The venue chosen, very wisely I might add, was this one. The lady owner and host greeted us warmly as ever and the resulting Three Course Lunch was excellent. Well cooked by any standard, served hot, on hot plates (very necessary) and with extra vegetables...More
We arrived at about 13:50 to be told there was no hot food and the kitchen was shortly closing. Ordering and paying for sandwiches was efficient enough and the food came within a few minutes
