Visited for my husband’s birthday. My daughters had the garlic chicken it’s very rare they eat a full meal but they ate all of this including the salad and my eldest daughter finished off all of the green beans. My chicken in cream sauce was lovely. We also had a cocktail each as they were 2 for 1 and the staff kindly only changed us for 1 mock tail as they are not included in the cocktails offer. The staff were wonderful- friendly and efficient. We will definitely be going back.

This is for St.Andrew's Quay- Very polite staff, food came out quite quickly and was very good. I had a bruschetta for starters but didn't want the salmon, however there was no option for bruschetta without salmon so I still got charged for a salmon bruschetta . Also my wife is vegetarian so she ordered a margarita pizza with mushrooms and when I received the bill I'd been charged for a prosciutto pizza (ham and mushroom) without the ham which costs more than a margarita with extra mushrooms. It still looks like a Frankie and Bennies inside but I did like the atmosphere and the friendliness although it took over 20 mins to try and get the bill after we'd finished. Plain bruschettas and maybe a fungi pizza on the menu maybe ? Like I put above - ut's the little things....

As a party of 4 people, 2 of us were celebrating our birthdays which are on the same day. The service was friendly and we all enjoyed our garlic bread starter then waited for our main course. And waited..... and waited. We noticed people who had arrived long after us were being served their mains and wondered when we would be getting ours, particularly as we understood we had to be out within 2 hours. We had difficulty gaining the attention of the staff although they cast the odd puzzled glance in our direction. Eventually someone came to us and apologised when we asked why we were still waiting and they asked if we wanted more drinks, we declined as it was unclear if they were complimentary. Our main courses were all very nice when we eventually got them. As we paid the bill an apologetic waitress implied we would be compensated for the mix up with our meals then we were handed a" £5 off your next meal voucher"which I think every customer received. We don't go around expecting "freebies"but feel disappointed that a special occasion did not live up to expectation.

This is the first place we'd been to since the beginning of lockdown. We have been here on e before and really enjoyed it. I'll be honest and say the food isnt anything special, a reasonably competent cook could do any of these meals at home just as well but what made it stand out was its family friendly atmosphere. The owner is a really charming guy that makes you feel at home and there was a buzz in the restaurant the first time we went. This time though, not so much and yes, that is to do with the distancing and the masks which is not their fault, that can't be helped. What was also disappointing though was the quality of the food which I felt had gone from average at best to poor. Between us we had a pizza that had prawns on that looked like the cheap tiny ones you get in a packet at the supermarket, liberally sprinkled over the top as if it was an afterthought. We also had 2 creamy chicken dishes which were completely tasteless, had no seasoning at all and lacklustre veg which looked like it had been kicking around out the back for the whole of lockdown. I've had better out of a packet. You really need to have a look at the quality of ingredients and the care you put into cooking then because I'm not prepared to pay restaurant prices for a supermarket pizza and 2 ready meals again, especially when you're not able to create the atmosphere to lift the whole thing

We visited the new St Andrews Quay restaurant for breakfast this weekend, with the following to note. Food, the quality was excellent we ordered a small and medium full English breakfast and were both satisfied with the portions. The coffee (flat white) were very small, we received no butter with our toast, my husband left his as he could not eat dry, when we asked for brown sauce the waitress was bemused at what we wanted but did bring us some sachets so all well. Service was hit and miss and not professional there was some shouting between staff out in the main area and as noted brown sauce seemed a magical ingredient. Value, we had a very similar breakfast last week at a garden centre on the outskirts of Hull, the standard was the same however we paid £28.50 at Pasco's in comparison to the garden centre at £20. I felt over charged at Pasco's. Covid - my main concern. Pasco's display the QR code on the outer door and no one checked if we had used this which feels lax in comparison to other places we have eaten in recently. Space, when we arrived at Pasco's there was only 4 of us eating, my husband and I seating by the window along with another couple in the corner. I realised as we were about to leave that I was touching someone sat behind me and then noted 4 tables were occupied all together in a bunch by the window, the other 50 plus tables in the restaurant were unoccupied, reading government guidance this is wrong there should be a 2 meter spacing where possible which there certainly was. It is wrong and does not comply with guidance to cram us all into one area, this can only have been done for the staffs benefit. In summary nice quality food, over priced and company not complying with guidelines which they were easily able to do so.

My wife booked a birthday treat for me at Pascos. My two sons, who are university and I haven't seen in a while, came along too. We've always enjoyed eating at Pascos as the food is usually good. On arrival we were shown to a table, given menus and ordered drinks. We were chatting alot as we had loads to catch up on. The waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order...we asked if we could have a few more minutes. The waiter then went into a wild rant about how busy they'll be this evening with over two hundred customer and if he gave everyone extra time to select their meal, blah, blah, blah!!! We all decided we'd just have a main and leave as soon as possible. A great way to spoil my birthday!! Thanks for nothing Pascos! I spoke with the manager who was very kind, but the damage has been done!

We went with our 2 sons aged 10 & 11 for tea on Saturday night to the St Andrew's Quay restaurant and we weren't disappointed. Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the atmosphere and the price. All 4 of us had 2 courses and 2 drinks each & the bill was less than £80.00 My partner had a duck main course, I had a beautiful chicken dish, and the kids both had a pizza each & side portions of chips , we all had desserts. Our table was booked for 5pm which was perfect timing, after 6pm the restaurant was full & I'm sure we would have had to wait longer for our food. Fantastic service from all the staff, we will definitely be returning & would highly recommend.

I visited here yesterday with my family to celebrate my 30th birthday. I've been a few times in the past and I've always found the food beautiful, this visit was just as good as previous times. I ordered the salmon con gamberetti with a side of garlic bread and it was delicious! I had a slice of lemon cheesecake for dessert and that was amazing too! My 3 young children also really enjoyed their meal they shared a pizza, garlic bread and chips. We will definitely have to return again very soon!

Great place to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. Seating arranged to accommodate mobility issues. The food is tasty, well prepared and comes in generous portions. An excellent way to help with choice of dessert - examples of each dessert presented for view, so much better than a written menu. Friendly, accommodating staff who make you feel welcome and give excellent service. Also during lockdown they provided meals and vegetables delivered to the door , until they unfortunately had to close. Sadly missed.

Visited on a busy Saturday afternoon, clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. We waited upwards of an hour for food to be served and watched chefs and staff be shouted at by management. A specific request was made for no chalots in the calzone, however, it arrived full of them. We also requested a gluten free carbonara (no gluten free pizza bases) which despite being reassured that gluten free pasta was used, left the recipient feeling unwell. I'm sure under less pressure the quality of food and service would be better, however, for what you spend there are better alternatives. Nothing knocked off bill to compensate for poor service

Non edible food. Poor service. Booked a table for an early dinner with my 10yo at the St Andrews quay branch. Where to start? We’re sat very close to people when there was clearly room for some safe spacing. The table had two cards on it ( red= table was not sanitised & green = table sanitised) making it unclear. We ordered fettuccine with ham that was tasteless ( both to my daughter and I confirmed), pate that was inedible !!! Salty and with no flavour, chicken breast in creamy mushroom bacon sauce - not sure if the sauce was from a powder mix but felt sick after eating it. The veg were nicely steamed and the chips was great. When asked we said that the pate was inedible. The waitress said she will let the kitchen know. A different waitress then said she can give us a bill as we wanted one and 10 min later she was still nowhere to be seen. Another waiter then came to the rescue and we paid the bill and left. The worse part is that the girl in charge was standing near the kitchen service hatch and doing everything possible to avoid any eye contact with customers which we found appalling. No communication between staff, not a bit of care was noticed. This was the first time that I didn’t leave a tip and felt robbed. Never again. BTW- The place is designed exactly like Franky’s and Bennys only with a different logo... so we expected at least this level of food and service. HUGE mistake.

Monday August 24th was my husband's birthday and I booked over 2 weeks before to ensure that we could be certain of a table. After reading the Hull Daily Mail account by one restaurant goer I chose to ring Pasco's on Monday morning for reassurance. The owner explained most carefully how it worked and even offered to do me the "Dine in to help out" deal on Thursday if it would make me happier. Birthday was Monday though- best day of the week for weather it turned out. There was a small queue which got bigger as we waited. We were only there about 6 or so minutes; hand sanitiser on entry, table spacing, procedures for indicating cleaned and yet to be cleaned tables, tables not in use- all guidelines looked to be in operation successfully. Staff were all masked as well. I chose the sea bass special plus a spicy sausage dish for starter, my husband chose the triple sizzler and the special gambo starter. He had a pint of Peroni and we shared a bottle of house red merlot as we always do. Really good value with the discount. We have been to Pascos many times, the food was every bit as good as usual; restaurant was very full and as one group left, another entered. It is a big space to fill with people but everyone was catered for, no unecessary movement, plenty of staff clearing away and cleaning down tables and all very alert to attend to customer's needs unobtrusively. I would say that the people who were there that evening all had a great time and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously.

We knew it would be busy with it being a Monday during August but service, quality of food and a really warm greeting from owner made this first restaurant visit post lockdown really enjoyable. We ordered promptly and didn’t feel rushed. Excellent value, very clean and friendly service. Thoroughly recommend.

I’ve eaten in many Italian restaurants and after reading the reviews I was looking forward to eating at this one! It’s really a story of two halves! The man (maybe the owner) who seats you is delightful! The rest of the staff are not like this - the waiter who served us couldn’t be understood, he was wearing a mask which is understandable but he mumbled and it was noisy in the packed out restaurant! The tables were clean and the first man explained about how the place was working during COVID - I felt reassured until I went to the toilets which were filthy, never mind being up to COVID standard they were not up to restaurant standard! We had meals from the specials, steak, meatballs and a pizza. The pizza was too doughy, the meatballs were tiny and I could have made these better myself and the steak wasn’t the best. The wine was nice though! We didn’t have a dessert as I couldn’t wait to leave. Would I try this place again? No unfortunately not.

I have nothing but praise following our visit to Pasco's Italian. The staff have been superb. Top notch service, exceptionally quick to delivery food to our table, both our meals were well presented, cracking portions and very very tasty. We took our 2 year old for the impromptu lunch visit and the staff were great with her. So friendly and accommodating. Pricing felt a little too cheap imo. I would have paid more. Smiles all round and empty plates was how we finished.
