Been a customer since it opened. Will never go again. It’s gone so far downhill it’s disappeared. Poor quality food. Poor service. Massive hikes in prices of food and drink. I won’t be going again even if someone else was paying

Visited Pascos to celebrate a family birthday. We have visited for many years but have recently noticed an incredible rise in prices and cutbacks in quality. On this occasion service was poor….. drinks were slammed down on tables, the garlic bread was undercooked and we...were massively overcharged for a child’s pasta meal. Once upon a time the atmosphere was welcoming, Walter always made a fuss of our family, nothing was ever too much trouble! Tonight there was no sign of Walter, it felt uninviting. Pascos usually offer NhS 10% discount, tonight after leaving the restaurant upon checking my bill I was given 63p discount off a £92 bill. Hmmmmm doesn’t add up to me! Safe to say it is no longer the fantastic quality restaurant it once was when owned by the lovely pasquale! Shame as was once a firm family favourite. Greed & penny pinching comes to mind.More
Portions small, prices up, service not the best. My daughter is nhs so has blue light card . Off a £100 bill she got 63p off. What a con.
Last came at New Year, food was great, service was great. I don’t know what’s happened but it’s now really disappointing. Service slow, but the food was really poor. Microwave rice, microwave vegetables, chips from Asda, under cooked pizza. Save your money and actually go...to Asda. The food will be better.More
Had meals for 3 people, all ranged in temperature from warm to stone cold, when mentioned to the waiter he said he was the only one serving food up. Very poor.
Visited the St andrews restaurant on 10th Nov for my sons 16th birthday it was fantastic the staff was really good and the food was gorgeous will definitely be back soon definitely recommend

Poor quality food, stingey portions, overpriced. Wouldn't recommend, and certainly shan't be returning.
My friend and I visited 12/10/2023 , my friend has been a freequent customer over seven years , I have been a few times with her and have always enjoyed , although last night was a big disappointment, we both had the lasagne, I had...never had it before ànd to be honest it was just a dish of pasta and sauce , struggled to find any meat , my friend complained about the portion size and was just told to order cake to fill up !!! Disgusting definitely won't be going back and would not recommend and have lost a good customer in my friend .More
I have been a return customer for the past 18 months or so. Staff were always on the ball and full of energy. There was always someone watching the door to greet guests. Food was always very good. What has gone wrong? Pretty much everything,...starting with being pointed to a table. Then a waiter by the tables just stared at us and said nothing. We asked him for the lunch menus. They did not appear and I had to go over to the bar to get them myself. I asked for some olives that did not appear. When our drinks order came my drink was beer in a bottle with the crown cap on. "Could I have a glass please", I said. "Would you like me to take the cap off" he said. "No, I said, that is what my teeth are for" (I only thought it) The order was taken and it was interesting to see that three tables, who arrived after us, had been served first. This can happen if the dishes are complicated, but ours were not; just some cannelloni and two grilled chicken. Whatever the chicken was, it was not grilled or griddled. It had either been steamed, or more likely microwaved and shown pan for a few minutes to get some colour into it. It was tough and soggy. It was supposed to be garlic and lemon but tasted of neither, just a watery mess - with rice, which was not asked for and not billed on the menu. They admitted the mix up. I had to complain there and then. A waitress then tearfully accused me of being rude, which I was not. I do not complain on a regular basis. Pascos have had a good run but the management of it has become non-existent.More
Would not recommend. Me and my partner had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a long time and we was very disappointed. First off, the item from the menu I wanted to eat I was told after ordering wasn’t available which was a...shame. So me and my partner ordered both the steaks, one with mushroom sauce and one with peppercorn. We waited a long time for the food which normally we wouldn’t mind but for the food we received was a shame. We both ordered our steaks as medium, my partners come well done and mine was rare to say the least very bloody. NO consistency and for both steaks meaning to be cooked ‘medium’ were very very different. It was burnt on the outside but cold and raw on the inside. The food had practically been slapped on the plate, the chips were exactly the same as what you would expect from a Chinese takeaway, an oven style chip. And my partners rice without exaggerating whatsoever was like rice pudding. The garlic bread was lovely that was the best thing about the meal and that was a sharing side we got. The service is decent from this restaurant but the food really is just bashed on a plate and no love or thought into it at all. I’ve come home and I’ve thrown up my food from this restaurant so I would definitely not recommend sadly, after very much looking forward to visiting.More
Went for a meal at St Andrews Quay after an afternoon of birthday celebrations. We were asked for food options after people who came in after us, so we were there an hour before getting any food. We were told this was due to the...pizza oven being very busy. Sadly my cheese intolerance was ignored by the kitchen staff, despite it being checked twice by front of house staff, which was both annoying and disappointing. Didn't order anything further as we needed to get home. Front of house ladies were lovely and very helpful. I was given a 20% off voucher for my next visit as an apology, do I want to return? Definitely Cottingham next time! Just glad it is an intolerance not an allergy, could have been a different story.More
A great spot for meeting up with friends. As usual the service we received this evening (8 September 2023) was excellent and attentive, food was lovely and we had an all round great experience. The restaurant was quite busy but the drinks and food for...our party of five arrived quickly and all together. The staff are long-time regulars and know how to provide great, friendly service, thank you all very much. There is a large free car park adjacent to the restaurant which is a big bonus too. A big thank you to Pasco's Cottingham!More
After reading ok reviews we gave this place a try for dinner. The vibe of the restaurant is flat, the tables are tiny and squashed together, cheap basic wooden tables - no authenticity what so ever. The food was inedible, swimming in grease, frozen flat...chips, microwaved veg that is tasteless. It is honestly the worst restaurant I have ever been to. £60 to barely eat a thing, the staff didn’t even acknowledge the full plates when taking away the food, only concerned about if a tip was being given! Avoid at all costs unless you love soggy tasteless food.More
We visited here this week at lunch time crikey it was not nice, one of us had the pizza which was ok bearable although i had panni which was toasted although it wasn't, really dry and cold the chips it came with were so dry...and bungy i didn't like them at all over all not worth stopping off for a meal very bland and very uninspiring i did complain however wait for it they managed to discount the bill by a very generous almost £3.00 wow! we won't bother going again terrible.More
