Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A cafe with heart! Excellent food and great service. Gluten free options well catered for. Organised a post funeral gathering there and everything was handled with professionalism and sensitivity. Would thoroughly recommend. Clearly appreciated by the local community.

We hired Cafe Norah for a private function. Our daughter’s first birthday. The staff were amazing, so friendly and professional and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great experience. We chose sharing platters, they provided such a variety of food and it...all tasted devine. Thank you team Norah you really did make our evening a magical one. I cannot recommend these guys enough for any private functions you may have.More

I went with my friend the other day for breakfast and the staff were really rude. We had our dogs with us and sat outside. They seemed to be annoyed on every interaction we had with them. Don’t advertise as being dog friendly, when you’re...not welcoming at all to people with dogs!More

Two of us went around mid day on Thursday, I had the vegetarian breakfast, certainly the best one I've had for a long time, my partner had the smashes avocado on toast and was similarly impressed. The pot of tea was sufficient for three cups....We will definitely be back.More

Il start by saying we were really looking forward to our trip here. We had booked in advance but had contacted the cafe to change to booking. It was all confirmed via message. However when we arrived the cafe was full. No empty tables so...we immediately knew the booking change hadn’t been passed on. We approached the counter and were greeted by a rather rude young girl who said we had no booking. We explained the change and showed the messages, again we were told no, there was no booking. My friend had to insist they check the book because at this point the waitress hadn’t. Hearing this a tall young man approached the counter, another rude member of staff, and advised we could sit “there” and pointed to 2 empty seats on the end of someone else’s table! We said no. we had booked a table, this was their mistake not ours. He the pointed to a window seat and rather begrudgingly said “well you can sit in the window.” Due to his tone my friend asked if was sure. “Yeah!” Was his reply. We were not advised if it was table service or if we had to order at the counter. There were no menus on our table. We asked a neighbouring table for their menu. We perused and the food sounded good. I went to the counter and it was indeed counter service. A short time after the food arrived. No cutlery was brought, I asked the waiter and once again his rudeness shone through. He actually huffed at me asking for cutlery. We ordered a breakfast and a club sandwich. The food was very nice however the small piece of chicken in between 2 large pieces of sourdough bread was the club sandwich. The taste was good but I had a bite of chicken in Each half of the sandwich. The price, taste and quality of the food is great, but sadly this place is let down with the miserable, rude staff!More

Booked this based on the good reviews. Cafe Norah did not disappoint. Visited Friday 15th December for lunch with family members. Warm welcome and lovely choice of food to suit all. Various lunch choices, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and cake. Highchair was supplied for our Grandson and...he definitely enjoyed his food and warm friendly surroundings. Went for a Xmas meet up lunch and was very disappointed with the food! Had a festive toastie ( they gave it a fancy name!) Very sparcely filled and served with luke warm water consistency "gravy" I took tge gravy back with my comment and...swapped it for some cranberry sauce to make the toastie more appetising! My chocolate orange cake was dry and the best thing about it was the chocolate orange segment! I think it may have been the manager/owner who noticed I had left quite a bit and I was honest about my opinion and she said we could have asked for cream and the cake was fresh from the baker's. No offer of any refund. My friend was not impressed with her lunch or dry lemon cake. Safe to say I will not be returning.More
