What's a sandwich without a beer? ..... food. Young people who seem to work there can call in anytime to enjoy free coffee even with their children in prams for free while the customer pays for lack luster service

For basic pub lunch this was fine. Plenty of table space, friendly staff and quickly served food. Big burgers and big portion sizes. No complaints from me

With a spoon or without depending if you order soup or steak you can attempt to enjoy your visit to this now quiet and unappealing pub (although I'm told it is lively at weekends) until the promised refurbishment and hopefully improved menu arrives.
