Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Friendly staff with a welcoming atmosphere. The food’s delicious, especially the seafood chowder and home made wheaten bread ( yum). Have to say! given that I am not a huge chip fan the CARRICK-a-rede bar and restaurant’s chips are the best in the whole of...Northern Ireland. I highly recommend it, if and when down that way. Vale Executive Transfers, were exemplary in the service they provide in both the travel to and from. They can also prearrange your meal, ensuring a service and meal second to none.More

I had rung to make a booking and asked whether there would be a good number of people in the restaurant, the girl replied that being a Friday it would be ok. When we got there we were told the restaurant was closed as they...hadn't put the heating on but we could sit in the bar. Luckily there were a couple of tables free, although the bar area is now quite cosy. The menu has a reasonable range of dishes at a fair price and we were told immediately what was not available. The food is obviously cooked to order but unfortunately not that well. We all felt the chips could have done with another dip in the fryer to be cooked through and crispy. My cod batter was decidedly soggy and my husband's steak, although a good size was just edging towards medium/rare. Having said this, we did not feel it warranted being sent back and we all cleared our plates.More

Well-situated, spacious restaurant. Peaceful atmosphere with a good view of the sea. I had an Irish Whiskey from the bar,and tried some of my friend's Irish Lamb Stew. Very flavourful and good home cooking, warms the soul on a cold Spring day. Friendly staff, free...WiFi, clean toilets, coped well with a bus load of tourists headed towards Giant's Causeway. Lunch menu was provided on our your bus in advance of arrival. Would recommend.More

Unbelievably disappointing. If you're on a tour and this is the place the driver/tour guide brings you be prepared! The driver will get your order beforehand, upon arrival at the pub they will ask you if you did place an order with the driver and...ask for your orders again. Make SURE they get your orders and give them to you not to other people. I suggest ask them to put down your name to make sure it's gonna be served to you. Follow up on your order every 5 minutes just to make sure it will arrive. It is unbearable to do a Giant's Causeway tour on an empty stomach as this is the only place you can get lunch prior to going there. Just imagine the staff telling you someone claimed your food 15 mins before the bus leaves. It might be unintentional and was an honest mistake, but I believe this pub is well informed that tourists will be dining there and should be well organised. What's the point of getting orders prior our arrival if you don't know who will be served first and who will need to have to wait. For tourists be warned and be prepared at least!!!More
