Very disappointing. The decision to have three sittings on Christmas Day was a big mistake. I was booked on the 3.30 service but the 1.30 sitting were still eating. It was chaotic with people arriving whilst others were leaving. Why they were only using one door is a mystery only known to the management. The food was all obviously mass... More

Arrived and was met by a lovely waitress, possibly Eastern European and she was very polite and attentive, she took our drink order and shortly after that our drinks arrived, the Diet Coke was draught and obviously they had just cleaned the pipes, as the drink was undrinkable and to be fair was replaced by can, the real issue was... We had a large family gathering here just after Christmas Day for lunch, which we have done before. Being local it's handy to eat here but they never quite get it right. The fish n chips and their curries (Thali especially) are lovely but the service is sporadic and confused. They miss drinks, being wrong things, and it all seems... More

Terrible !! Meal booked for 3.30pm but when we arrived at 3.25pm there were crowds of people in the lobby waiting and trying to get in out of the rain - we didn't get to a table until approx 4.10pm which was still being wiped down as we arrived they didn't have enough chairs for us (11 people at a... Staff so obliging and really nice cold drinks and coffee but food just not great. Indian place years ago and was exquisite but obviously that's hard to maintain. Overall not bad and will return just not in a hurry.

Spent a few days in Scotland over Christmas and pre-booked here after researching online. Opted for the buffet as seemed to be more choice for my fussy family! We booked for the last sitting at 5pm. There was more than enough choice of dishes and ample food on offer. The staff kept an eye on the buffet and it ws continually... More

We have been here for a xmas meal before but this was by far the worst. There was no xmas atmosphere just an excuse to make money. It was noisy. The food was luke warm the roast potatoes were not roasted properly.pigs in blanket were not cooked properly and xmas pudding was stodgy.

The quay do a wonderful fish and chips, in fact although there are lots of choices on the menu, I can't stop myself going for the fish. It's always been perfectly cooked, and I'd be hard pressed to find fresher. They also do a seniors special lunch that is still a good size and excellent value. Will be back in... More

The management of this establishment should learn serous lessons from the events of Christmas Day. Event management was the poorest we've seen anywhere. Had to wait 50 minutes to be seated for our family booking of 5.30. People were forced to queue in the draughty entrance area but as we had two octogenarians in our party we sat at an... More
