Now, you may have heard of afternoon tea. The Bistro does an excellent one but have you heard of “before noon tea” a mixture of breakfast and afternoon tea. Started with a Granola pot with Greek yogurt and berries. Tea or coffee (always topped up),...orange juice or apple juice followed by… Mini buns with Stornaway black pudding, bacon and sliced sausage (all delicious) Scone with cream cheese then three different sweet treats All presented excellently of a tiered plate. So much food we came away with a ‘goody bag’ Service was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book it for a good feast before everyone else does.More

Had to pick up laundry left day before in Musselburgh and found this online near bus stop and laundry. Waited a bit to be seated and for order to be taken, Once order was taken, service was quick and breakfast sandwich we each had was...very good. The cafe is in lobby of the theater and entrance is just off It was worth a bit of effort and was one of our better breakfasts in the Edinburgh area.More

My husband and I visit the Bistro frequently as we are treated so well I am disabled and use a walker The staff make sure we are seated at a suitable table . The bistro was busy and 5 of us walked in off the street hoping for a table and the staff couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. I am lactose intolerant and on hearing this the waitress was very accommodating. I had heard their scrambled egg...roles were amazing, so she ensured I got one without dairy. My partner and I ate here for the second time in a couple of months. It's not Michelin Star standard and it doesn't pretend to be but what you get is non pretentious fayre of more than ample portions. It's well cooked and served up...by lovely enthusiastic staff. What a warm and friendly place to stop for a cup of tea and a big slice of carrot cake. The staff were very accommodating when I sat at one of their tables outside the café, on my ownpart way on my coastal cycle through...Musselburgh. One of them came out and brought me a pot of tea (a snip at 1.90GBP) to go with my own lunch. On my return journey later in the afternoon I went inside the café and had tea and cake. My cycling gear went unremarked. On each visit they seemed to be quite busy; not surprising with 2 panto performances on the day, but they were very friendly and accommodating. Thank you.More

Good food and excellent value for money. The staff were friendly, polite and very professional. Given the current restrictions the set up was good and all social distancing measures in place. I would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed our visit to Brunton Bistro today for lunch. Given a warm welcome and seated quickly. The place is spotless, Every staff Member was so friendly, and food all looked delicious. Lunch was served promptly and with a smile. We ordered soup and a sandwich...(salmon) , fish and chips followed by 2 ice creams. Lovely place to eat and accessible for disabled access through front of main building. Easily accessible disabled toilets too. The food was really beautiful. They do smaller portions as well which is good. We had fish and chips, gluten free, and the portion size was...perfect. The staff who work there are very friendly and helpful and an asset to the Bistro. We’d definitely recommend eating here.More

Specific Table was booked, when we sat down we where told we would have to move as table booked for 11am, told her we booked the table, told that people coming have children and book every week. I said it’s now 11.10 so people did...not come made us move, attitude is wrong customer service is poor always rushing to clear tables when you have not finished, get orders wrong, told them we would find a new venue next timeMore
