Location and contact

I, Joe Crolla, together with our father and son team, Giuseppe and Adriano Amato who are the manager and chef are proud to have chosen Musselburgh as the home of our first restaurant together. My Family originate from a village south of Rome just outside the town of Atina which itself was originally settled by the Romans and is situated in the heart of the old Roman Empire. With our passion for food and wine we aim to bring a taste of our home town and province to Musselburgh.

My Mother and her friend visited today for lunch and, as always, the service and food was exemplary. Mum described the soup as beautiful, really lovely and had her first experience of polenta chips, which were excellent. Her friend was equally impressed with the quality...More

Really nice venue and staff are friendly enough, but the food is average and overpriced for what you get.

This is a unique venue within a former mill building, tastefully restored. Entrance leads via a bar area to a spacious glass fronted restaurant area. There is a good variety of excellently prepared and presented italian dishes, fairly reasonably priced. Service is prompt and friendly....More

Lunch time seems to be the time to visit as the lunch food always seems better, not sure if its because your expectations for a lunch are lower or is it a different chef? For dinner it is awful, tasteless, yes a tasteless Italian dinner!!!...More

Been visiting Crolla's Kitchen since it opened. Friendly staff and great food and a lad on the bar who really knows his cocktails! One tip: don't wear anything white if you're ordering spag vongole!
