As if the fact that the food was not great was not enough, the staff were very unkind to our kids. We came for a nice family dinner and left as soon as we could having had a very poor experience. It is a pity, we stayed close by and would have been regulars if either the food (my husband... More

This property looks full of character on the outside and was used as a film location for Outlander but the restaurant area is modern and out of character to the building, however the lunch was fine and service good. Choice of two soups, which are welcome on a cold day and a range of specials from a limited menu were... More

We popped in here and we're very much impressed by the quality & the price of the selection of cakes & scones available here. The drinks were well received also. Service was friendly, efficient & courteous - so I will definitely return & for sure I would recommend this place also! excellent do 5/5 !

Had lunch at the hotel. Soup and sandwich deal. Good food, relaxed atmosphere and pleasant and efficient service.

Middle of the road menu . Food presented well and was tasty. Staff were well trained and got on with the job without being constantly at your table. Seems popular as was fairly busy. Would come back if in Falkland again.

We didn't eat here so we can't comment on the food although the menu is appetizing. The coffee, however, is just plain awful and this place is supposed to be a cafe.

Had a lovely lunch today with the family, the haddock and mushy pea baguette was brilliant; a different take on fish n chips and a great sized portion. The food wasn't the quickest in coming out but the waitress did let us know and asked if we wanted the children's meal bringing out first, which they did do for us.... More

We came here for a birthday dinner last year, the food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Friendly service and nice atmosphere, we tried to come back fairly soon after that meal but the restaurant was closed for a private function. We will be back tho.

Took my mother here for her 81st birthday lunch along with my daughter and have to say everything about the experience was excellent. The food was first class and the portions were just right. This was my first visit to The Covenanter but it won't be the last. We were the first customers in the place and I was a... More
