Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

10 day trip to Scotland and Falkland was my favorite village by far. Wow! Just so beautiful. This hotel is just as perfect as the village. The service was outstanding. We had dinner and breakfast here and both were great. The room was gorgeous with...a claw foot tub, and a view of the square.More

Stopped in here today for lunch on a day trip. Although the place was busy, the staff took my order fairly quickly and got the food out in good time. The Mulligatawny soup was lovely and the fish goujons & chips (proper chips not frozen)...were superb. I'd certainly come back here again 😁More

Visited twice in one day, morning coffee then lunch. Both visits very pleasant, lovely staff, very cheerful on a horrible weather day. Chicken mayo sandwich chips and salad one of the best I've had post covid times both in terms of quality and value. Highly...recommend.More

Urgh it’s just too busy popped in for a nibble place wasn’t that busy but told there was at least a 30 min wait for ordering food as the kitchen couldn’t cope, no friendly vibe no smiles the foods nothing special standard stuff I think...falklands that busy now with tourists they don’t care anymore about service or quality because people just keep coming. So my advice is unless you’ve booked a table or you are staying there don’t even try why ruin your dayMore

Avoid !!Chaos , grubby , but the coffee was good . On entering there's a sign telling you to go to the bar to arrange a table , but in fact you actually go to the cafe , where 2 very young girls are doing...their best but clearly overwhelmed and not trained . All visitors seemed confused if its table service or order at the counter , we has very long wait , my cup was grubby with lipstick marks, I returned it to the counter , the tea was served with no milk, no sugar. The lock on the ladies loo is broken. There's confusion over where / how to pay , we were told they prefer cash , but to pay we'd need to go to the bar . Clearly many visitors were having same experience.More

A lovely restaurant, delicious food and friendly staff. We had afternoon tea for three, and were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food for the reasonable price. We will definitely be coming back!

Terrible food. Table of 5 of us visited for a family lunch-1 out of 5 meals were mediocre at best the rest terrible…..how can you fail to make a decent baked potato and sandwich?!! Complained and the waitress just smiled and took the plates away….complained...again when paying the bill and again nothing was said…….perhaps an indication of regular complaints?!! Save your money and go somewhere else-anywhere else! Will never be back.More

Best bar in Falkland according to my husband, who tried them all on a short break! We both had lunch which was really nice, fresh food and good service even at the end of what had clearly been a busy lunchtime. Good selection of drinks...too.More

A movie made this place famous and I expected a tourist trap. Wrong. A very nice restaurant with a local vibe. Actually it was pretty full and the vibe was so nice. Charming interiors, old style countryside, great food, good wines, unpretentious but delicious. My...risotto was delicious and the burgers great!More

A charming public house set in the town square, named after a 17th century religious and political movement, sits by the monument and a stones throw from the Palace. Beautiful architecture surrounds. Coffee was nice and the staff helpful. Nicely stocked bar.

Yes! I have had my Westie there twice. You can either sit at the outside area under the marquees or you would be allowed to sit in the pub area inside to eat your food. You're just not allowed them in the main restaurant bit.
