Stopped for a midweek lunch. Greeted by lovely friendly staff. Plenty of choice for a good lunch with a super array of cakes. The food (we had soup and sandwiches) was delicious and arrived promptly despite us being told there might be a delay due...to it being busy. Reasonably priced and a great playlist in the background. Warrants a return visit.More

Unfortunately not a fan of here. Unwelcoming staff and cold temperature. The food was ok but we had much better on the island elsewhere. The setting was very cute.

Sorry to hear you feel like that. I have never had a comment about unwelcoming staff total opposite. The courtyard where you obviously sat can be cold but inside is warm and cosy .Glad to hear you are enjoying food on the island . Janie

We visited here and found our favourite soup by chance. It was the best we've ever tasted. Delicious cakes too. Love Arran 💘

We stopped for coffee and cake and decided to take away instead of sitting in. The staff was friendly and helpful. We noticed while we were waiting that the staff in the kitchen made a lot of noise while working with cutlery being thrown in...metal containers. We thought that the coffee making skills could be improved, for example my flat white was way too big and milky. The cakes we had tasted lovely, there was a good selection on offer, though my personal opinion is that you don't need to put icing on everything.More

Thank you for your review. However I do wish you had looked more closely at the cakes as we DO offer many alternatives: flapjack, fly cemetery, gingerbread, fruit loaf, brownies… We will take on board your comment about the coffee and will perhaps use a...More

Called in for tea and a couple of cakes at the end of a long walk...perfect! Lovely food, a proper pot of tea for 2 and great service. Not the cheapest place I have ever stopped for a cuppa but by no means expensive. Paid...about a tenner for 2 teas and 2 cakes. Will be back, next time we're on the island.More
