About
We start with a well-chosen menu featuring local, seasonal ingredients. Our chefs take pride in each dish and alter the menu with the passing seasons to take full advantage of the best of the local produce. Just click on the links above to see our current menus. And atmosphere is important, too. We've chosen soothing colours, exposed the sandstone walls and polished the wooden floorboards to make a great place to relax and enjoy the food, the wine and the company.

Visited in February weekend (considered off season). The bistro is warm, cosy and welcoming. The staff were pleasant throughout. The food was average regarding the taste, I felt my cheese and onion sandwich appeared elegant on the menu but was in fact pretty basic. Similarly...More

So we’ve been to the Glenisle before and loved it even though it’s a bit more expensive than other nearby hotels. I think it has new owners and just isn’t the same we felt. We didn’t find it as welcoming and the menu was far...More

We went here without a reservation and they were very accommodating. As my partner is a coeliac, they kindly went through the menu with us before we sat down. There were lots of good gluten free options as well as just a generally nice menu....More

We arrived without a booking to discover two young waitresses trying to look after tables in 4 rooms & reception at the hotel as well. They were courteous & after about 15 minutes we were shown to a table. It was worth the wait as...More

Nothing of the outside suggested how good the food was going to be - and it was very, very good. We had fish and game dishes and loved the wine list. It was a very busy night but the staff, although worked off their feet,...More

While the front of house staff haven’t changed- still welcoming, friendly and efficient - the menu for lunch has shrunk! Very restricted choice and much less imaginative. This hotel used to win awards but it’s difficult to see any accolades coming around the lunch menu!...More
