We have been coming to Arran for years but only heard of this place in recent years and never been able to get a table. It was well worth the wait. Nothing fancy and all in very simple settings but I can see why it’s...so highly rated. Friendly fast service. Food was delicious with big fresh portions. The sticky toffee cheesecake was outstanding. The only downside was hearing that the owners are hoping to retire and sell up. Otherwise we would definitely be back. We were staying in Brodick but it was worth the 25 minute drive both ways.More

Fantastic little restaurant, extensive choice of dishes, primarily using local ingredients. Friendly and efficient service from Val and the team. Restaurant is ‘Bring you own’ alcohol so makes the whole experience affordable during these recessionary times. Well worth a visit but remember to book well...in advance.More

A lovely meal served by friendly staff. We visited as a party of 3 . I had the beef cheek . It was delicious. My wife had the lasagne which she said was delicious. The portion size was good and cost reasonable. It take your...own booze with no corkage charge.More

We have tried and tried to get in here but never been successful, but we booked 6 months ago and finally made it. Lovely little restaurant, think maybe 20 covers. Lovely people who own it and I think one waitress who was great. Just really...good home cooked food, we all loved it, big portions, no corkage, and it was very well priced. I don’t want to say cheap but I guess it was, would have been far more elsewhere. Only tiny complaint was it was baking in the restaurant but I’m always hot 😂. Loved it.More

A first class family run restaurant in the beautiful village of Lochranza on the Isle of Arran. Delicious food and lovely friendly family running the business. We have tried previously to book but it was full so delighted we got a booking this year. Sadly...the business is up for sale or we would definitely have been booking for next years. Dining at the Stags Inn is one of the regular highlights of our annual Arran golfing holiday with a group of friends. The gorgeous freshly cooked food, the atmosphere, the exemplary service and attention to detail served up by Rino and Valerie and staff is...five star. We visited on a Saturday evening to celebrate a family birthday. The food selection was excellent from the starters, through the mains and the desserts.

A remote family restaurant with no licence (BYOB) that is well worth seeking out. Only a few tables and a small menu but everything is freshly cooked and really delicious. We enjoyed seafood, venison and lamb with lovely desserts and had a throughly good time....Service is friendly and efficient and the price is very reasonable. Highly recommended.More

We booked a table in advance due to the September holiday weekend, which was worth it as there was a 'fully booked' sign when we arrived. Clearly a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Very warm welcome from the owners, excellent menu and service....We ordered some starters, homemade soup, mushrooms and bruschetta which were all very nice. Followed by lasagne for us and pizza for the kids, all stuffed but we managed to find some room for delicious homemade desserts. (Remember to BYOB, we forgot but were more than happy with the large soft drink menu!)More
