Warm, charming, lots of good food (try the haggis bon bons ... go ahead ... I dare you. It was yummy.) Just about perfect fish and chips, and the lamb shank was great. We actually stayed there one night, and it was very comfortable.
Ate here in October having been recommended by some local friends.
Not many people in the bar so had a long wait for our food.
My friends enjoyed their meals. but I wouldn't recommend the scallops which were on the small side.

Just has a very pleasant dinner at the Crown & Achor. The friendly barman recommended fish and chips which were superb. The haddock was light and flaky and perfectly cooked. I polished off the meal with a home cheese cake.

Having had another run in with "mein host", when he point blank refused to put on the football match that he had advertised as showing, because he was watching another game (there was no-one else in the bar), I now accept that he is just plain rude, and won't be darkening his door again. His loss, I must have put thousands in his coffers over the years.
