Fantastic pizzas at this location and really lovely family serving them up. A little bit out of the way but we’ll worth the visit

We managed to get a table here last Friday evening and were so glad we did. The pizza was terrific - tasty, well-cooked and handmade to order, and the starters were equally good (and with generous portion sizes). We had the tomato and mozzarella salad,...and the cheesy garlic bread to start, and they were excellent. We followed this with the some like it hot pizza, which was really good, and not too hot. The ambience is wonderful, and the customer service excellent. We were made to feel welcome and appreciated by Phillipa (one of the owners), and it was nice to see the open kitchen arrangement, featuring co-owner Ian making the pizza bases individually. The wood-fired pizza oven imparted good textures and flavour. The buzz in the restaurant was obvious, and this was by far the best dining experience we had during our stay in Orkney. It's only open at weekends, so make sure one of the first things you do when you arrive on the island is make a booking! This is a must-do for our next visit to Orkney. Managed to get an early table after calling in by chance during the day to get a coffee. The cafe wasn’t actually open but the owners happened to be in and heard us looking at the “honesty box” bakery section and invited us in and...made us a coffee. Had a lovely chat with them whilst drinking the coffee and booked for later that week. Had a great sourdough pizza and homemade dessert. You’ll need to book in advance to get in!More

Just amazing !! Eviedale bakehouse has the most wonderful products. Went for sit in pizza tonight (also do takeaway pizza) Best pizza in Orkney. Also had a gluten free option that my friend said was the best she had ever had. Cosy little bistro. Parking...outside. Bring your own bottle, as not licensed but soft drinks available. AND !! Did you know that you can get 'pudding pizza' ? 3 choices, all sounded delicious but full after the normal one. Honestly box for the bakehouse offering bread, sweet treats & savoury treats. What more could you ask for ? Phillipa & her team are lovely. Did I mention the gelato too !! Definitely a most go to placeMore

Best pizza my husband has ever had. As I have food intolerances and they helped me with bespoke menu which was completely delicious.. and top restaurant quality. Lovely building made for a special meal. We also tried their almond croisants which were exceptional.

The food was lovely, it was the best pizza I have had. My wife has problems with allergies and they could not have been more understanding or helpful and made sure she had a lovely meal. Everyone was extremely friendly. One of the many highlights...of our trip to the Orkneys. Wish we lived nearer to go back often.More

We got bake at home pizzas for our last night whilst on holiday on the island - pick up was smooth, pizzas were packaged excellently with cooking instructions. The pizzas were delicious- toppings and crusts super tasty! We ate them so quickly we forgot to...take a photo… Lots of veggie options as well. Would recommend to anyone!More

Finally made it to Eviedale after a long wait due to work commitments and family life but it was worth the wait. The pizzas are out of this world and all reasonably priced. The venue is small and very warm atmosphere. Staff were helpful and...very friendly. Cannot wait to get back.More

Booked a collection slot and ordered pizza by email which was straight-forward. Pickup was easy with a small car park for 2-3 cars behind the building. Pizza was great and we enjoyed it with a sea view at the nearby beach.

We had the sourdough croissants and a sourdough loaf, both tasted lovely and testament to the time taken to develop the dough. The honesty shop is a great idea. We will be back again

I cannot recommend this fantastic sourdough bakery enough. Fantastic sourdough pizzas and a variety of sourdough breads and pastries. Prompt replies re availability of pizza slots at the weekend. They also do pick up and cook at home. It was a great start to our...holiday!! If you are visiting Orkney this is a must!!More
