Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you knit, crochet, sew, quilt, embroider, cross stitch, dress make or any other craft you can think of requiring fabric, yarn or threads, then this is a place you cannot miss. There's such an array in such a small place, it's impossible to see everything in here even walking twice round, every time you look somewhere, you will spot something else you hadn't noticed before. There's some home baking and teas/coffees available too, I can thoroughly recommend the carrot cake! Huge piece, very tasty and not that dear either. As with everything prices have gone up but still worth the visit, especially for their own unique yarn, camel and silk and it's to die for!

Marvellous craft/fabric wool shop. Lovely to look around. The cafe was simple and well appointed with lovely views. Spectacular log burner keeping the place cosy. The food absolutely great. We had a delicious (huge) bowl of soup and gorgeous lemon drizzle cake. Thank you.

Visited for the first time on Saturday 13th November and found the staff very pleasant, the surroundings beautiful and the coffee and cake first class. If you're in the area I'd recommend that you drop and you won't be disappointed. The shop stocks a large amount of craft materials and accessories.

Today I had the pleasure of visiting Karelia's and safe to say it was one of the best experiences.
The coffee is lovely, the cake I had was divine and so many gluten free options which is rare.
If the cake and coffee wasn't enough we spent 2 hours looking around an amazing shop. I could not stop smiling the entire time (which didn't go unnoticed by staff, 😅) The shop had a wide selection of fabrics and patterns, it has influenced me to try to learn quilting as well as my dressmaking. Then we come to the wool, I left with new projects I hadn't even thought of doing as the selection was so vast.
The staff were absolutely wonderful, kind and helpful.
Being able to see a workshop happening was amazing to watch and hopefully I will attend one in the future.
The experience was so positive I will now be a loyal customer and cannot wait to attend again.
Well done to everyone there, amazing.

Often stop in here when on holiday in Aberfeldy and doing the Kenmore to Aberfeldy river walk. Drinks and cakes are lovely. Great to sit outside in the good weather. Peaceful and scenic. Toilets are clean and well maintained though shared which I hate but needs must!
Happy to recommend.

Karelia House is a little gem in the middle of nowhere. Definitely need satnav to find it easily. Has a huge range of yarns and fabrics as well as accessories and sewing machines. A cosy corner provides a welcome space for coffee and nibbles.

Tucked away down a quiet road, Karelia House offers a super collection of wools. You can think about your purchase over a slice of lovely cake and a cuppa .
